A cordial greeting to the entire community of moviegoers in this opportunity I bring you a review of one of the films that I had the opportunity to see several days ago and today I bring to the discussion table for those who are encouraged to leave their points of view that is always the pleasure of yours truly to read and of course to discuss about it.
➡️ 🇪🇸 LAS BUENAS PELÍCULAS SUELEN DEJARTE CON LA CABEZA VUELTA UN ROMPECABEZAS, PERO LAS MAS SOLO TE DEJAN CON GANAS QUE TE EXPLIQUEN EL FINAL.
Un saludo cordial a toda la comunidad de cinéfilos en esta oportunidad les traigo una reseña de una de las películas que tuve la oportunidad de ver hace vario días y que hoy dispongo a traer a la mesa de debate para aquellos que se animen a dejar sus puntos de vista que siempre es del agrado de su servidor leer y claro que sí debatir sobre ello.
The genre of Mystery and Drama have always seemed so interesting to me as they occupy an important space in each viewer who is immersed through emotions and connects with these types of films that are presented under the shadow of emotions and empathy that is born with each character or story. Movies like Dark Waters, Gone Girl and The Lovely Bones which I have had the opportunity to see loran connect with the viewer and process those emotions in turn can play with your mind and make you lose the horizon if it is not aware of each situation.
Sometimes we can fall into the error that a film must carry a rhythm and style already predetermined and that it is a mistake to go out of what is already established or leave you with the feeling or thought that it did not go the expected way. This usually happens in many films, but not always the most obvious path is the right one and we can not leave aside that everything depends on the perspective of the viewer who can understand at first where a film is going or simply hopes that as it progresses we can grasp where it wants to go.
➡️ 🇪🇸El género de Misterio y Drama siempre me han parecido tan interesantes ya que ocupan un espacio importante en cada espectador que se sumerge a través de las emociones y conecta con este tipo de películas que se presentan bajo la sombra de las emociones y la empatía que nace con cada personaje o historia. Películas como Dark Waters, Gone Girl y The Lovely Bones las cuales he tenido la oportunidad de ver loran conectar con el espectador y tramitar esas emociones a su vez pueden jugar con tu mente y hacerte perder el horizonte si no está al tanto de cada situación.
En ocasiones podemos caer en el error de que una película debe llevar un ritmo y estilo ya predeterminado y que es un error que se salga de lo ya establecido o te deje con la sensación o el pensamiento que no fue por el camino esperado. Esto suele pasar en muchas películas, pero no siempre el camino más obvio es el correcto y no podemos dejar de lado que todo depende de la perspectiva del espectador que puede entender a la primera hacia dónde va una película o simplemente espera que a medida que avance podamos captar hacia dónde quiere ir.
The Killing of Two Lovers ", may confuse you if you are a casual viewer of those who just want to watch a movie and not be thinking about the depth of the characters or if the story makes sense or not if so let me tell you that it will be difficult to understand the film and most likely you will end up with a bad taste in your mouth at the end or simply leave after 30 minutes of watching the movie. I was checking a little bit the filmography of its director (Robert Machoian) who seems to have a taste for this kind of stories that are told from the perspective of his characters and who understands that the human mind is complex and that we all do not see life with the same eyes and maybe a particular situation makes us see or do things differently from the rest of the world.
I want to give my opinion from that perspective because if it doesn't go deep enough it may be one of the shortest reviews I do and I won't have much to tell if I just go the easy way, these movies should be analyzed calmly and to enjoy it you have to see beyond what is presented in scene and in that way connect from start to finish with its story.
➡️ 🇪🇸“The Killing of Two Lovers”, puede que te confunda si eres un espectador casual de esos que solo quiere ver una película y no estar pensando en la profundidad de los personajes o si la historia tiene sentido o no de ser así déjame decirte que será difícil que entiendas la película y lo más seguro termines con un mal sabor de boca al final o simplemente te retires a los 30 minutos de ver la película. Estuve chequeando un poco la filmografía de su director (Robert Machoian) quien parece tener gusto por este tipo de historias que son contadas desde la perspectiva de sus personajes y que entiende que la mente humana es compleja y que todos no vemos con los mismo ojos la vida y puede que una situación en particular e haga ver o hacer las cosas de manera distinta al resto del mundo.
Quiero dar mi opinión desde esa perspectiva ya que si no se profundiza lo suficiente puede que sea una de las reseñas más cortas que haga y no tenga mucho que contar si solo me voy por el camino sencillo, estas películas se deben analizar con calma y para disfrutar de ella tienes que ver más allá de lo que se presenta en escena y de esa forma conectar de inicio a fin con su historia.
🎬 WHAT'S THE MOVIE ABOUT?
I'LL TELL YOU QUICKLY AND WITHOUT SPOILERS, IN CASE YOU HAVEN'T SEEN IT YET!
We will know the story of a man named David (Clayne Crawford) who is going through a difficult situation where he has made the decision with his wife Nikki (Sepideh Moafi) to take some time where they can clarify their feelings and build that love that somehow else has been crumbling over the years where they have been blessed to have 4 wonderful children and for which they do all this to give them a stable home and that love and respect are the priority.
One morning after some time apart David enters his ex-wife's room and realizes that she is with another man. This creates in him a sea of negative emotions where he tries to understand what is happening and can not digest that the woman he loves has turned the page so quickly and he is just in the process of giving himself time to resume what has been paused.
This situation puts against the wall a man who wants to return to his family but who also feels hurt and wants in one way or another to vent that feeling of anger and pain against this new man who seems to be gaining ground in a vulnerable situation for both parties. Devid tries to get closer to Derek (Chris Coy) who is that other man in Nikki's life who in some way or another is an obstacle in their lives. We will see how our protagonist navigates through that sea of emotions where anger, jealousy and violent outbursts that emotionally unbalance Devid showing that dark side that is inside him.

¡TE LO CUENTO RÁPIDO Y SIN SPOILERS, POR SI AÚN NO LA HAS VISTO!
Conoceremos la historia de un hombre llamado David (Clayne Crawford) quien está pasando por una difícil situación donde ha tomada la decisión junto a su esposa Nikki (Sepideh Moafi) de tomarse un tiempo donde puedan aclarar sus sentimientos y construir ese amor que de alguna forma otra se ha ido derrumbando con el pasar de los años donde han tenido la bendición de tener 4 hijos maravillosos y por los cuales hacen todo esto para darles un hogar estable y que el amor y el respeto sean la prioridad.
Una mañana después de un tiempo separados David entra a la habitación de su ex esposa y se da cuenta que esta con otro hombre esto crea en él un mar de emociones negativas donde intenta comprender lo que está pasando y no logra digerir que la mujer que ama haya pasado la página tan rápido y el solo este en ese proceso de darse tiempo para retomar lo que ha quedado en pausa.
Esta situación pone contra a la pared a un hombre que desea volver con su familia pero que también se siente herido y desea de una forma u otra desahogar ese sentimiento de ira y dolor contra ese nuevo hombre que parece estar ganando terreno dentro de una situación vulnerable para ambas partes. Devid intenta acercarse a Derek (Chris Coy) quien es ese otro hombre en la vida de ** Nikki** quien de alguna manera u otra es un obstáculo en sus vidas. Veremos como nuestro protagonista navega por ese mar de emociones donde la ira, los celos y arranques violentos que desequilibran emocionalmente a Devid mostrando ese lado oscuro que está dentro de él.
We also see the relationship she has with her four children and how she must lead with questions that have answers but you wouldn't give them to those people who see you as their hero and that could affect how they see the other side of the coin. Jess (Avery Pizzuto) is the teenage daughter and the one with whom he will have the most problems on this long road, facing situations where his daughter believes that her mother is the most responsible for what is happening and he must keep a clean image of his ex-wife for the mental well being of his children who do not understand the whole situation and try to live a normal life.
An emotional and profound film that shows us how a man must struggle with a negative feeling and constantly fights against that demon that tries to make his life a living hell. I must emphasize that it is a movie that you must watch with a lot of patience and put yourself in the shoes of each character so you can understand each point of view and in the end understand what the director wanted to convey.

➡️ 🇪🇸 Vemos también la relación que tiene con su cuatro hijos y cómo debe liderar con preguntas que tienen respuesta pero que no se las darías a esas personas que te ven como su héroe y que podrían afectar como ven a la otra cara de la moneda. Jess (Avery Pizzuto) es la hija adolecente y con quien tendrá más problemas en este largo camino, enfrentando situaciones donde su hija cree que su madre es la mayor responsable de lo que está ocurriendo y él debe mantener una imagen limpia de su ex esposa por el bienestar mental de sus hijos que no entienden de toda la situación e intentan vivir una vida normal.
Una película emocional y profunda que nos muestra como un hombre debe luchar con un sentimiento negativo y que lucha constantemente contra ese demonio que intenta hacer de su vida un infierno. Debo hacer énfasis de que es una película que debes ver con mucha paciencia y que te pongas en los zapatos de cada personaje para que puedas entender cada punto de vista y al final entender lo que su director quiso transmitir.

🎬 MY SPOILER FREE OPINION
Personally, it's a film that can be manipulated from different points of view and as I said before, it can get on your nerves when you think it should take a specific path and when you see that it was somewhat incomplete it can affect your opinion about it.
The professional critics consider it a great film within what many categorize as the deep American cinema that is to say the personal passion towards a very specific film genre that can vary regardless of how you see it or interpreters, the film as such has its personality but at the same time a depth that thanks to very broad or very closed scenes you can feel or perceive what they want to show you in each scene.
These scenes may not be liked at all because sometimes we see in the film very wide shots that do not explain what is happening while the closed shots show the intensity, passion or moments where emotions play an important role and should not be left to pass as if nothing because everything around this film is geared towards the emotional that is its starting point. You will not find a film that starts from the logical or predictable, it is a film that varies depending on the angle from which you look at it.
Everything in itself makes me like the film and knows how to capture my attention, leaving me with the idea of what I would do personally in a similar situation and what decision I would make at that moment where there is no turning back.
The interpretation of the characters is correct, we see nothing out of place and that could be the same that any person would take in a real situation, children occupy and express the emotions they might feel if something like that happens in their real life and adult characters are shown as expected to be shown in similar situations, of course this does not mean that we all act the same way, but we do not see anything exaggerated and that's perfect.

MI OPINIÓN LIBRE DE SPOILERS
En lo personal es una película que puede manipularse desde distintos puntos de vista y como dije anteriormente puede sacarte de onda cuando crees que debería tomar un camino en específico y al ver que quedó algo incompleta puede afectar tu opinión sobre ella.
La crítica profesional la considera una gran película dentro de lo que muchos catalogan como el cine de la América profunda es decir la pasión personal hacia un género cinematográfico muy específico que puede variar independientemente de cómo lo veas o intérpretes, la película como tal tiene su personalidad pero a la vez una profundidad que gracias a escenas muy amplias o muy cerradas puedes sentir o percibir lo que te quieren mostrar en cada escena.
Estas escenas pueden no gustar del todo ya que en ocasiones vemos dentro de la película tomas muy amplias que no explican lo que está sucediendo mientras que las tomas cerradas muestran la intensidad, pasión o momentos donde las emociones juegan un papel importante y no se deben dejar pasar como si nada ya que todo lo que rodea esta película va encaminado hacia lo emocional que es su punto de arranque. No te toparas con una película que parte de lo lógico o predecible es un filme que varía dependiendo desde el Ángulo que lo mires.
Todo de por sí hace que la película me guste y sepa captar mi atención dejándome la idea de que haría yo en lo personal en una situación parecida y que decisión tomaría al llegar ese momento donde ya no hay vuelta atrás.
La interpretación de sus personajes es la correcta no vemos nada fuera de lugar y que podría ser la misma que tomaría cualquier persona en una situación real, los niños ocupan y expresan las emociones que podrían sentir si algo por el estilo ocurre en su vida real y los personajes adultos se muestran tal y como se espera que se muestren ante situaciones parecidas, claro esto no quiere decir que todos actuamos de la misma manera, pero no vemos nada exagera y eso es perfecto.
The film has a duration of about 1h 25m with a slow but precise pace where every moment is understood at the first time and there is nothing out of time or rushing situations that later make the film something rushed or meaningless. Which I appreciated a world because this kind of movies when they don't compact an idea usually leave small narrative threads out of the viewer's understanding that to give it a closure they usually do it in a rough way ruining what they could create at the beginning.
DO I RECOMMEND IT?, I definitely recommend it without a doubt you will be surprised by the direction they took and how intense you can get some scenes that you might think you have an idea of how they developed and at the end something happens that you do not expect at any time. I repeat it is deep and its rhythm and essence is of a style almost not taken full advantage of by the viewers, I hope you give it a chance and if you have already had the opportunity to see it I would like you to leave your opinion in the comments box and maybe open an organic debate about the film.
➡️ 🇪🇸 La película tiene una duración más o menos de 1h 25m con un ritmo lento pero preciso donde se entiende a la primera cada momento y no queda nada fuera de tiempo o que apresuren situaciones que después hagan de la película algo apresurado o sin sentido. Lo cual agradecí un mundo ya que este tipo de películas cuando no compactan una idea suelen dejar pequeños hilos narrativos fuera del entendimiento del espectador que para darle un cierre suelen hacerlo de manera tosca arruinando lo que pudieron crear al inicio.
¿LA RECOMIENDO?, definitivamente la recomiendo sin duda alguna te sorprenderá la dirección que tomaron y lo intenso que se puede poner alguna escenas que podrías creer tener una idea de cómo se desarrollaron y que al final ocurre algo que no esperas en ningún momento. Repito es profunda y su ritmo y esencia es de un estilo casi no aprovechado al máximo por los espectadores, espero que le des una oportunidad y si ya has tenido la oportunidad de verla me gustaría que dejaras tu opinión en la casilla de comentarios y quizás abrir un debate orgánico sobre la película.

THE BAD
Some open shot scenes fail to convey what they want and lack of sense leaving out of frame the actors. (When we see in any film regardless of its genre very open or wide shot is to detail the magnitude of a particular situation and that way the viewer can enter into context, the same happens when the shot is very closed where its purpose is to show some emotion or situation of distress, anguish or tension).
Although the time of the film was used in its entirety and nothing was left out, it would have been great if the film had been 2 hours long, that way they had more space to develop some characters that had something to tell and thus understand everything from the perspective of other characters that were kept on the sidelines.
THE GOOD THING
An interesting story that can be that of anyone who identifies with its main character which makes it organic and perhaps the reflection of thousands of people going through similar moments.
Clean photography.

LO MALO
- Algunas escenas a toma abierta no logran transmitir lo que desean y carecen de sentido dejando fuera de cuadro a los actores. (Cuando vemos en alguna película sin importar su género toma muy abierta o amplias es para detallar la magnitud de una situación en especial y de esa forma el espectador puede entrar en contexto, lo mismo ocurre cuando la toma es muy cerrado donde su objetivo es mostrar alguna emoción o situación de aprieto, angustia o tensión).
- Aunque el tiempo de la película fue utilizado en su totalidad y nada quedó por fuera hubiera sido genial que la película hubiera sido de 2 horas de esa forma tenían más espacio para desarrollar algunos personajes que tenían algo que contar y de esa forma entender todo desde la perspectiva de otros personajes que se mantuvieron al margen.
LO BUENO
- Una historia interesante que puede ser la de cualquiera que se sienta identificado con su personaje principal la cual la hace orgánica y quizás el reflejo de miles de personas que pasan por momentos similares.
- Una fotografía limpia.
