Today for the first time, I will be leaving you my impressions about a film, a film that impacted me and that if you have not seen I would like to recommend 100%, it is: In Time
Esta es una película de ciencia ficción estrenada el 30 de marzo del 2012. Ya teniendo 9 años de haber sido estrenada, probablemente muchos de ustedes la han visto. Yo la vi hace apenas un par de años, la busqué en el rango de ciencia ficción y por eso decidí verla, porque me encantan las películas, que nos muestren mundos alternos o paralelos al nuestro, donde lo irreal, como en la literatura cobra vida y se adueña de nuestros sentidos, sumergiéndonos de un sinfín de posibilidades, que se abren de una forma casi mágica y se doblegan a la inventiva y creatividad del ser humano.
Ojo no es lo único que busco en una película, para mí un buen films independientemente del género, debe tener: suspenso, acción, un toqué de drama, un toqué de comedia y por supuesto el elemento romántico para hacerlo más atractivo. Les cuento que a excepción de la comedia, esta película reúne todos esos componentes que te permiten disfrutarla.
Sin embargo nunca pensé, que ver esta película de ciencia ficción, lejos de llevarme a un mundo ficticio, me iba a hacer pensar, en la cruda realidad en la que está sumergido nuestro planeta y hablo concretamente de la desigualdad social y económica y de la explotación a la clase obrera o las minorías, víctimas de sistemas económicos decadentes. Claro, como no soy economista ni pretendo serlo, no criticaré el modelo capitalista, ni mucho menos abogaré en por un socialismo quizá aún más nefasto. Lo que sí les diré, es que la película muestra claramente, ésta desigualdad e indolencia por parte de las clases altas o económicamente favorecidas, que prefieren cerrar los ojos o como dice uno de los personajes en el film: "mirar hacia otro lado" para no ver sufrir, para no ver llorar, para no ver "morir" a ese desconocido, que es un ser humano igual que ellos.
Ésta película toca profundos temas sociales, como la incompetencia del ser humano para gobernarse a sí y brindar verdadera seguridad social y estabilidad económica a los que han nacido en la pobreza, por supuesto, desde la ficción. Se podría decir que es una hermosa metáfora de una horrible realidad, pero que además resalta tópicos como:
El valor del tiempo: ¿cómo lo administramos? ¿En qué o en quienes lo gastamos? ¿Le damos suficiente de este recurso a nuestros seres amados?
Lo que significa vivir realmente : ¿Vivir es tener todo lo que hemos deseado?
¿Es disfrutar lo que tenemos? ¿Es trabajar para obtener bienes materiales que otros van a disfrutar? En la película, el protagonista, disfruta realmente de un plato de comida mientras que Amanda Seyfried en su interpretación de una chica adinerada, le mira con extrañeza y le pregunta, por qué come tan rápido. Esa escena me encanta por la profundidad del tema sugerido entre líneas. Seguro que muchos de nosotros hemos disfrutado comer con hambre, pero, en verdad ¿Disfrutariamos de algo, si nunca hemos sentido la carencia del mismo? ¿Qué significa vivir sino hay un disfrute? ¿Que significa ser pobre? Es la carencia de algo ¿verdad?, pero si alguien que tiene todo el dinero del mundo no tiene el disfrute o la felicidad ¿No sería esa una pobreza aún mayor?
En fin, la verdad, no sé si en todo esto pensó el guionista y director de cine neozelandés Andrew Niccol, muy probablemente sí. Tampoco sé si la película tuvo una muy buena acogida por la alta crítica y los cineastas, pero desde mi humilde opinión es una película muy muy buena, que no sólo te entretiene y te mantiene en suspenso, sino que grita realidades propia de nuestra raza humana, que todo el mundo conoce pero pasan inadvertidas, porque lamentablemente nos hemos vuelto indolentes al dolor ajeno.
Bueno mis amigos, me despido por hoy invitándolos a ver esta película enmarcada en un mundo utópico y futurista, que de un modo artístico nos lleva a meditar en este, nuestro propio mundo.
This is a science fiction movie released on March 30, 2012. Already being 9 years old since it was released, probably many of you have seen it. I saw it just a couple of years ago, I looked for it in the range of science fiction and that's why I decided to see it, because I love movies that show us alternate worlds or parallel to ours, where the unreal, as in literature comes to life and takes over our senses, immersing us in endless possibilities, which open in an almost magical way and bend to the inventiveness and creativity of human beings.
For me a good film, regardless of the genre, must have: suspense, action, a touch of drama, a touch of comedy and of course the romantic element to make it more attractive. I have to tell you that except for the comedy, this movie has all those components that allow you to enjoy it.
However, I never thought that watching this science fiction movie, far from taking me to a fictional world, would make me think about the harsh reality in which our planet is immersed, and I am talking specifically about social and economic inequality and the exploitation of the working class or minorities, victims of decadent economic systems. Of course, as I am not an economist nor do I pretend to be one, I will not criticize the capitalist model, much less advocate a socialism that is perhaps even more nefarious. What I will say is that the film clearly shows this inequality and indolence on the part of the upper or economically favored classes, who prefer to close their eyes or as one of the characters in the film says: "look the other way" to avoid suffering, to avoid crying, to avoid seeing "die" that stranger, who is a human being just like them.
This film touches deep social issues, such as the incompetence of human beings to govern themselves and provide real social security and economic stability to those born into poverty, of course, from fiction. It could be said that it is a beautiful metaphor for a horrible reality, but it also highlights topics such as:
The value of time : how do we manage it, on what or on whom do we spend it, do we give enough of this resource to our loved ones?
What does it mean to really live: Is living to have everything we've ever wanted?
Is it to enjoy what we have? Is it to work to obtain material goods that others will enjoy? In the movie, the main character, really enjoys a plate of food while Amanda Seyfried in her interpretation of a wealthy girl, looks at him strangely and asks him, why he eats so fast. I love that scene because of the depth of the theme suggested between the lines. Surely many of us have enjoyed eating when hungry, but would we really enjoy something if we have never felt the lack of it? What does it mean to live if there is no enjoyment? What does it mean to be poor? It is the lack of something, isn't it, but if someone who has all the money in the world has no enjoyment or happiness, wouldn't that be an even greater poverty?
Anyway, I don't know if the New Zealand screenwriter and film director Andrew Niccol thought about all this, most probably yes. I don't know if the film was well received by critics and filmmakers, but in my humble opinion it is a very, very good film that not only entertains and keeps you in suspense, but also shouts realities of our human race, which everyone knows but go unnoticed, because unfortunately we have become indolent to the pain of others.
