Here are a few pancake looking boletes for this #mushroommonday
The summer rains this year have brought out quite a few boletes.
This area of the park was loaded with these large boletes. I suspect there might be a few different species here.
Too bad I got to them late, they are starting to dry out and crack.
From a distance it looked like someone threw a bunch of pancakes on the ground lol.
I'm guessing these might be red cracked boletes as I can see some of the red stem below them.
Here is another shot of them, too bad they are too old to harvest.
Here is a group of reddening lepiota getting swarmed by gnats.
Here is the tell tale sign of reddening lepiota. They resemble a fat stemmed parasol and redden in color when you cut or pinch them.
This is a cleaner batch. One day when I find a fresh clean batch I'll give them a taste test.
