Fungi Friday : They are widespread in your continent

IMG_4110.JPG

"They are apparently widely distributed on our continent, but much more common east of the Rocky Mountains."

I quote those words from mushroomexpert.com. So, I think, that what you are very familiar with as the parasol mushroom is not necessary for me to explain. They are widely distributed in temperate climates. Descriptions of this fungus can easily be read from [mushroomexpert.com](https://www.mushroomexpert.com/macrolepiota_procera.html or from Macrolepiota procera (Wikipedia). I just want to tell you that they are also present on the grassy lands of tropical Aceh, Sumatra (Indonesia). Their appearance which to me is very attractive, growing in groups and almost forming like a ring there, it all makes me take a lot of pictures of them. I imagine how excited you will be to find them at your place!😁
