Decir mentiras a tus hijos | #MomLife, Semana 38 - Día 6

Hello my dear Hiver's, today I will talk about the importance of not telling lies, if there is something in the world that bothers me is telling lies or being told lies, in my house telling lies was a fixed punishment, my mom always told us that first you catch a liar than a thief, that lies do not leave anything good and mainly that telling lies led you to continue lying so I got used to always tell the truth, so much so that I do not know how to lie, I am very obvious to a lie and I was also trained to detect lies, I have a radar for that, so at least my sisters know that they can not lie to me because when they put my face they know they have failed in the attempt.

I remember a lie that was the last one she told me, I used to buy the biggest bags of Nestea, a lemon drink, at home my mom let me drink it but my sisters were forbidden to drink it, so I had my things in a drawer and she went and filled a bottle with Nestea to take it to the school, but I had the suspicion that someone had checked my drawer so she went to take a bath and I took her bag, I checked it and then surprise I got the bottle, when she came out of the bathroom to change I couldn't stand it and I told her "I think someone is messing with my drawer", you have something to tell me, be careful with the answer you may regret it, she told me: "my soul nothing, sure you are going to say that I am messing with your things as always" and I showed her the container and told her: as always you messed with my things, she felt very sorry, I told her if you want you have to ask me, you cannot tell me lies, we are sisters and you have to ask me for things, so it was a great teaching after that I shared everything with her, she learned the lesson.

When we tell lies things can happen to us that we do not want and with children it is much more delicate, you have to be extremely transparent, talk to them the way things are and do not lie at any time, for example: you should not tell them that there is a monster under the bed, I hate that lie, my sister jumped out of bed as far as possible, because the bogeyman was under the bed, she does not like that, it scares them, it creates insecurity in children, that the madman will take them away, why torment children with this, the fear of shadows are fears that we create ourselves, let's not make the same mistakes that our parents made with us, children deserve a happy childhood and without lies, let's make this a different generation, let's teach our children to leave aside many lies such as teenagers to not have to use a filter to take a picture, to show themselves as they are and not to lead a false life through the networks, besides they don't have to reveal so much either, and in real life let's be real.

I don't have much to say because everyone manages their lives the way they want and I am not the one to judge, but the truth is the most special thing we have, to feel at ease to tell it like it is and not go around telling lie after lie.
