Es una verdadera fortuna el poder llegar a los 70 años en medio de situaciones adversas que nos ocurren a lo largo de la vida, y es motivo para dar gracias a Dios por permitirnos arribar a las 7 décadas. 23 de abril 2024.

Por supuesto, he estado reflexionando acerca de tantas situaciones en las que he desarrollado mi existencia, y agradezco al Señor por haber contado con padres sencillos y querendones que nos orientaron siempre por el camino del bien.

Mi padre fue un obrero de la compañía Texaco desde 1958 cuando había mucho petróleo en nuestro estado Guárico, y luego cuando recibió sus prestaciones sociales, nos mudamos a San Juan de los Morros con mi madre que era dueña de casa, muy responsable y cuidadosa de todos los hijos.

Bien, algo que resalto es que Dios me permitió ser un músico que aprendió primero a tocar el cuatro, luego la guitarra y después me interesé en la bandola, pero me desanimé porque la presté y no me fue devuelta.

El cuatro marcó el rumbo en mi desempeño en la vida y en verdad que me considero un exitoso profesor de educación musical aunque mis conocimientos fueron adquiridos mayormente a través de la tradición de observar a los otros músicos. Laboré en más de 25 escuelas de mi municipio Roscio debido a que anualmente me asignaban 2 o 3 escuelas porque en la década de 1980 no había muchos docentes en el área musical pues exigían como mínimo ser bachiller.

Ser compositor me impulsó a dotar a más de 50 escuelas de sus himnos isntitucionales.

Debo resaltar algo muy hermoso como es el de ser uno de los pocos hombres con el título de educación preescolar, nivel del que llegué a enamorarme y desde 1985 comencé a laborar con niños de 3 a 5 años en el Jardín de Infancia La Paraulata. En 1986 compuse el himno de preescolar.

Mis inicios como educador fueron en 1974 cuando ingresé a un instituto comercial con 3 horas como profesor de inglés con solo horas semanales. En 1976 pasé a la nómina del ministerio de educación. Pero mi futuro era en la música.

En este campo aprendí al montaje de canciones para grupos corales infantiles, y más tarde me animé a enseñar el cuatro y el canto al mismo tiempo.

En relación con mi rol de padre, he estado muy complacido con el único hijo que tuve también es músico, pero se graduó de psicólogo en la mención clínica, y es uno de mis grandes orgullo en la vida.

En la actualidad estoy jubilado de educación, pero no dejo de trabajar con niños y conduzco la agrupación Grupo Cultural Infantil Pariapán, y de actividad complementaria practican ajedrez. Son niños con edades de 6 a 12 años.

Puedo decir que he tenido una vida de felices resultados aunque con los achaques y enfermedades propios de la edad.

I can say that I have had a life of happy results, although with the ailments and illnesses typical of age.
