Sentada en el sofá a las 3:00am comencé a pensar, que largas noches las de mamá. Ver como se pasan las horas y una vez que eres madre el sueño cambia, es ligero y atento, es tan difícil descansar cuando esa fiebre no cede.

A mom has long nights from the time she conceives, when it's time to go to the bathroom, when heartburn hits or when it's the last month and you can't find the perfect sleeping position.

Recuerdo el día del parto, menos logras descansar, yo comencé trabajo de parto a las 10pm y cuando ingrese eran las 12am, cuando escuche por fin el dulce llanto de mi pequeño eran las 3:30am y desde allí no dormí más hasta que ya estuvo en casa.
I remember the day of delivery, I started labor at 10pm and when I went into labor it was 12am when I finally heard the sweet cry of my little one it was 3:30am and from then on I did not sleep until he was home.

Y cuando crecen mamá igual se preocupes, igual se desvela porque la mamá es el único ser que ama incondicionalmente, las madres siempre queremos que nuestros hijos esten bien, más allá del cansancio o de las ojeras. Amigos y así es la vida de mamá, es dormir menos y soñar mucho más.
And when they grow up, mom still worries, she still gets awake because mom is the only being who loves unconditionally, we mothers always want our children to be well, beyond tiredness or dark circles under the eyes. Friends, this is mom's life, it is to sleep less and dream much more.
