La consulta pediátrica por si sola ya es una consulta especializada centrada en la salud de los más pequeños de la casa pero también tiene una gran importancia en la salud de todas las personas del hogar que componen la familia por medio de la promoción de buenas prácticas de salud, la prevención de enfermedades y la creación de hábitos saludables como lo son una buena alimentación, el ejercicio físico y una adecuada higiene.
The pediatric practice by itself is a specialized practice focused on the health of the youngest members of the household, but it also has a great importance in the health of all the people in the household that make up the family through the promotion of good health practices, disease prevention and the creation of healthy habits such as good nutrition, physical exercise and proper hygiene.
Dentro de la consulta con el pediatra también nos vemos relacionados con otras consultas de control de niño sano (a las que el niño debe asistir no porque esté enfermo sino para prevenir la aparición de enfermedades y si estas existen para que sean tratados tempranamente) como lo son:

🩺🧸Las etapas del desarrollo de la visión son unas de las mas importantes de la vida y deben ser evaluadas en cada consulta de niño sano el pediatra examinará los ojos del bebé, en busca del reflejo rojo, la respuesta a la luz y los estímulos externos.
👀Pero cuando debe asistir el niño al oftalmólogo!?
Los niños sin antecedentes perinatales deben ser acudir a su primera consulta a los 6 meses.
🤓Los Niños prematuros o bebés con diagnóstico de TORCH deben ser referidos para esta evaluación desde el momento de su nacimiento para poder prevenir complicaciones.
Otros aspectos de los que estar atentos son los siguientes Signos de alarma ⏰
1.Falta de contacto visual a los 3 meses de edad.
- Desviación de los ojos o falta de alineamiento a los 4 meses de edad.
- Acercamiento exagerado a los objetos a cualquier edad.
- Inició súbito de ojo rojo.
- Lagrimeo constante.
🩺🧸The stages of vision development are some of the most important in life and should be evaluated at every well-child visit the pediatrician will examine the baby's eyes, looking for the red reflex, response to light and external stimuli.
👀But when should the child attend the ophthalmologist!!!?
Children with no perinatal history should be go for their first consultation at 6 months.
🤓Premature children or infants diagnosed with TORCH should be referred for this evaluation from the time of birth in order to prevent complications.
Other things to watch out for are the following Warning signs ⏰ 1.Lack of eye contact at birth ⏰ 2.Lack of eye contact at birth ⏰ 3 Exaggerated approach to objects at any age, Sudden onset of red eye and Constant tearing.
