Tener hijos implica tomar decisiones en algunos aspectos cruciales, entre ellos la escuela del o los niños, yo que viví esta experiencia en varias oportunidades y les aseguro que es una decisión que hay que tomar teniendo presente varios factores dependiendo de la situación y realidad de cada madre, padre o familia, pero yo obviamente me basare en mi experiencia, luego de este pequeño preámbulo no creo que necesite mucho explicar cuál es el tema propuesto en el momlife-week-41 día 5, de la comunidad @motherhood (@hive-165757), para quienes deseen conocer un poco más de los temas propuestos para esta semana, por acá les dejo el enlace de la publicación.
Elegir la escuela adecuada para tu hijo
Recuerdo como si fuera ayer cada vez que inscribí a Cristian en una escuela o Colegio nuevo, la primera vez fue en un preescolar cercano a la casa donde el estaba seminterno desde las 7:00 am hasta las 4:30 pm aproximadamente, dependiendo de la hora a la que lo fuera a buscar. Mientras él estudiaba allí comencé a laborar y entonces lo inscribí en el preescolar de la institución esto me facilitaba el no tener que salir corriendo de la oficina apresurada a buscarlo ya que el salía conmigo en las mañanas, yo lo subía al transporte que lo buscaba en la oficina y a la hora de la salida de mi trabajo me entregan el niño en el mismo lugar.
Así, durante esos tres años no tuve mayor problema, pero no tome en cuenta lo complicado que es conseguir un cupo en algunos colegios para primer grado, asi que puedo decir que allí comenzó lo bueno, los colegios que yo tenia en mente simplemente no tenían matricula disponible ya que tenían niños que cursaban estudios con ellos desde edad preescolar, allí me vi obligada buscar bastante y pensando en el tema de cercanía casa u trabajo para ir a buscarlo o llevarlo, cerca de casa hay una sede el YMCA y allí inscribí a Cristian Josué para cursar sus estudios de primaria, elegí este colegio porque incluían natación en sus actividades y además tenían un plan para tareas dirigidas en las tarde, así yo podía retirarlo sin ningún problema al venir de regreso de la oficina ya que el colegio estaba cerca de la parada en la solía quedarme.
Por otra parte, durante el curso del primer grado de Cristian no hubo mayor problema que la adaptación y preocupación, ya que varias oportunidades encontré a mi hijo fuera del sitio en el que se suponía lo estarían cuidando y dirigiendo para las tareas, cosa que me alarmaba ya que el colegio tiene instalaciones de otro tipo y zonas que suelen o solían estar muy solas, ya para segundo grado Cristian solo fue inscrito para solo cursar su año escolar, ya que el costo de las tareas dirigidas subió exageradamente y me pareció que no estaban realmente atentos a su cuidado, aquí comenzó lo bueno, ya que al salir mi hijo de la escuela a las doce y estar yo retirada de la escuela alguien de la familia debía ir a buscarlo y esa por lo regular era mi abuela y, aunque estaba más joven que ahora ella ya no estaba para eso, de hecho una vez pasaron un gran susto ya que la lluvia los atrapo de regreso de la escuela y allí decidí que era el momento para un cambio de colegio
Debido a lo anterior, me vi obligada colocar a Cristian en una escuela que se encuentra a una cuadra de la casa, para que saliera conmigo de casa y luego al terminar clases volviera solo a casa, así no le daba mas mortificaciones y responsabilidad a mi familia ya ellas habían criado a sus hijos y su apoyo hacia mi era eso justamente una ayuda no una responsabilidad directa.
De la misma manera y ya para la edad de bachillerato y considerando que ya mi hijo estaba en edad adolescente y hay que tenerlo más vigilados y tomando en cuanta que practicaba beisbol tras presentar pruebas médicas y físicas, ingreso a una Unidad de Talento Deportivo, allí pasada practicante todo el día en las mañanas tenia practica de beisbol y en las tardes sus clases académicas, así yo podía en teoría vigilarlo y guiarlo un poco más.
Ahora bien, que pretendo aconsejar tras toda esta historia, que se debe evaluar si es mejor elegir el colegio del niño cerca de la casa o de la oficina, si es mejor elegir un colegio que tenga todas las etapas escolares para evitar luego no estar dando saltos de un lado a otro, también si se tiene vehículo propio o no, además del carácter y actividades que pueden tener o necesitar nuestro querido retoño.
Terminado, no comentan el mismo error que esta servidora que tuve que ir cada cierto tiempo buscando un nuevo lugar por no tomar las elecciones correctas desde que Cristian era un niño pequeño, pero a veces dependen de las circunstancias y realidades de cada quien hay que realizar cambios, así me retiro esperando haber dado algún consejo oportuno a una madre o familia que en esta en pleno proceso de elegir el colegio para su hijo.
