has been in the international spotlight in recent months, they have achieved as a society some things that show signs of progress and political advancement. The recent launching of their first S-80 class submarine with 100% Spanish technology puts them at the technological forefront in the submersible manufacturing segment. The election of a Popular party leader with an overwhelming majority has also aroused the curiosity of social researchers. The Ayuso effect has reverberated throughout Spain and beyond. A society in the process of maturing. However, not everything is gold in that society, a month and a half ago the world was shocked by the unusual case of the infantas Anna and Olivia. With astonishment we have been observing the development of this cruel plot that reflects that in this society macho behaviors are still present. Vicarious violence once again claims other innocent victims.

But what is vicarious violence, do you know how to identify it? Vicarious violence is closer to you than you think.
Vicarious violence is one of the most sickening examples of macho behavior. It happens when the husband, who deep down is a vile coward, carries out violent actions against the children to cause harm to his wife or ex-partner. It is violence by substitution.

The creator of the term was clinical psychologist Sonia Vaccaro, who coined the term2012 and defines it as:
This is violence against women, macho violence, which uses their children as an object to continue mistreating the woman. Many psychologists have been warning that this type of behavior has been increasing in these times of confinement.

Vicarious violence sometimes goes unnoticed when one of the two spouses begins to speak to his or her children in a derogatory, destructive and even imaginary way about the other parent with the aim of having the children develop hatred and anger against the parent who has filed for divorce.

In the case of the Spanish girls, vicarious violence has shown the depth of the macho culture when even a priest of the parish where they lived dared to point out that if the mother had not divorced the girls would still be alive.
Is it perhaps that a person does not have the right to rebuild her sentimental life, or in this case the mother did not have the right to escape three years after the divorce of a violent, abusive husband who already showed signs of psychological instability.
The saddest and most delicate aspect of this whole affair is the life of the children, their physical and mental health, which when trapped in this spiral of vicarious violence, the damage is often almost irreparable.

The legislations in most countries of the world are still not updated to punish this type of gender violence which is a real calamity. Judges should also modernize and seek the advice of psychologists specialized in the study of these behaviors to make preventive decisions and to take into consideration the phrase

"An abusive husband will never be a good father".
