Today I gonna take you to one of the beautiful islands of Vietnam, which has attracted many tourists from the natives to foreigners cause of its amazing landscape with many long and clean beaches and waterfalls.

As "the Pearl Island", Phu Quoc is the largest island in Vietnam. It is about 600 square kilometers in size and is surrounded by shallow waters. In addition to its white-sand beaches and pleasant weather year-round, two-thirds of the island is covered in forests. The outstanding attractions of Phu Quoc tourism include crystal clear waters, quiet streams, and a variety of seafood.

1. Location

Located just 103 kilometers from Ho Chi Minh City, Phu Quoc island is the ideal place to get away from the overcrowded mess of many large cities of many people. It's always a perfect plan for a short leisure trip of Vietnamese on holidays.
Phu Quoc has 2 distinct seasons: the rainy season and the dry season. Besides that, Phu Quoc's average annual temperature is 28 degrees Celsius, which makes it an ideal place for marine tourism at any time of year.

This is the best time of year to visit Phu Quoc because from October through March, the weather is less rainy, there are fewer storms, the water is clear, the waves are mellow, and the beaches are full of sunlight, making it easy to enjoy the island.
Rainy season: from May to September every year, coming to Phu Quoc this season often encounters sudden rains, if you travel to Phu Quoc at this time you should watch the weather forecast in Phu Quoc to avoid storms. Because it will strongly affect your travel schedule.

2. Transportation and accommodation

You can go to Phu Quoc island both by plane or express boat. Choosing plane option, it will take around 50 mins if you fly from Ho Chi Minh city and 1 and a half-hour from Ha Noi. But I still recommend you choosing plane option cause you will need more than 2 hours to reach Phu Quoc Island. I think that'll be a bad idea for people who got seasick.
There are so many hotels and homestays for you to choose, and the lowest price will be around 15USD/ night.

3. Places to visit

Phu Quoc Island is famous for its long clean beaches, you can easily find it here. Bãi Trường, Bãi Sao, Bãi Khem are the most popular beaches in Phu Quoc. The smooth sand, clean seawater and great views are the things that make tourists can not forget about Phu Quoc island. And some waterfalls in Phu Quoc island which state in the forest, but believe me you can get there easily. Cause people here already make it as a tourism area. And you can visit the pearl farm in Phu Quoc to see how people raising the pearl oysters. Finally, don't forget to visit Phu Quoc night market where you can taste all the fresh seafood here.

4. Activities

That will be so sorry if you don't try sea activities in Phu Quoc. You can sail a kayak, team building game on the beaches. That will be so exciting to try these in Phu Quoc with your friends.
