Old Casino by the Black Sea Romania šŸ‡·šŸ‡“

Hello everyone,

I decided to start my travel blog by sharing with you photos with the Old Casino in Constanta, Romania. It is an old wonderful building which I always love to visit when I go in vacation on the Romanian coast. šŸ‡·šŸ‡“šŸŒŠā›±ļø

Symbol of the largest port in Romania, the Casino on the seafront of the Black Sea in Constanta was built between 1904-1910.

It was designed to be a club and a community center for the top elite.

The interior had a ballroom, two game rooms and two reading rooms, where visitors could read the local, national and international press.

Seen from a distance, the Casino building demands respect and elegance. The building was inaugurated on August 15, 1910, in the presence of Prince Ferdinand. It was the largest building of this kind in Romania.

The casino remained the main attraction of Constanta, a city I invite you to visit.

Whether it's summer or winter, the paved promenade on the Black Sea coast is full of people whose steps always stop to admire this building-symbol of Constanta, which is an imposing building, with unique shape and rich architecture, inscribed since 1979 on the list of historical monuments in the country .

The casino is built in Art Nouveau style, being one of the few constructions of this kind in Romania.

Although it withstood the two world wars, the Casino in Constanta is currently in ruins, the local authorities have initiated a project to restore the Casino to the value it had before. Access inside is forbidden to avoid accidents.
