Do you remember your first time abroad? For me, it was an unforgettable experience for a young person. During the trip to discover Sapa in 2019, instead of taking the cable car to Fansipan, I chose to go to Ha Khau, China - where you don't need a visa or passport to set foot in another country.
Ha Khau is located in Yunnan Province, China very close to Lao Cai province - Vietnam, so I only need a permission to be allowed to pass. You can hire a tour guide to do all the procedures and so is the exchanging of money. In my group there were 8 people and we experienced Chinese culture together for 1 day
Referring to China is the image of similar houses built systematically into tall and massive buildings. Although Hekou is not a big city like Beijing, life is also very developed and modern. The people here are very friendly, although they don't know too much English, they guided us with their body language very enthusiastically.
Ha Khau is having many fashion stores. There is a busy street that sells clothes. In addition, the food here is also very good. Not-to-be-missed signature dishes are rotten tofu and candied gourds. Chinese food has an emphasis on being very spicy and greasy, so it's rich to taste. It's my first time trying gourd, which I've only seen a lot in film on TV
The main means of transportation here are cars and motorbikes, including buses. The street is modern and not congested. Motorcycles here are quite different from Vietnam because most have a protective layer covering the whole vehicle.
The last point I went to was the Park of Lights. This is a very large place with countless lights lit from small lights. Seen from above, the light park looks like a beautiful picture in the dark night
Thank you Ha Khau for giving me an interesting experience when I first set foot abroad and exposed to an interesting new culture.
Thank you so much for reading my post. Wish you a day full of happiness!
