Saswathdham is a combination of words Saswath and Dham. Saswath refers to Perpetual & Dham means abode. In all, it refers to the place with never ending peace and spirituality.
Saswath Dham also called as CG temple , lies in the foothills of Central Terai(plains). The spot is build by CG Corp( MUltinational conglomerate) from Nepal. It has now been recognized as one of the major tourist destination of the region welcoming thousands of visitors every month.
Located near the Highway, as you step down from the vehicle you could see pleasing greenery and the fine architecture at glance.

As you move from this site, you could see the main temple surrounded by the water and wrapped in designs and patterns. A elegant Shikhar design embraces the temple with artistic views differentiated with museum, and temple inside.
When you go left towards the front view spot, Lord Krishna statue is placed over the place. Lord Krishna dancing above the Seeshnag(snake with 5 or 7 heads). According to the myth, Krishna was encircled by snake to squash him. But he scaped and danced on the head of Seshnag.
Lord Krishna comes from the royal family. The cruel king Kansas heard a spiritual voice that he would be killed by the eighth child of his sister 'Devaki'. Vasudeva, the father and Devaki were behind bars. Howver, vasudeva managed to escape with the child and had to go though ocean to reach far away from Kansas. And, reached Yamuna where Krishna spent his normal life.
Gautam Buddha is also one of the major gods in Hindu Religion. The spot has a alluring statue of the Lord Buddha. Nepal, being the birthplace of Lord Buddha, always puts in a different connection.
As you move across this, you are now on the left side of the Museum part and in Buddha space. The enchant music playing in the background with all those prayer flags takes you ta spiritual world. It took me. I always feel calm and peaceful when I hear the "Om Maney Padmey Hum" music.
Moving along this way gives you wonderful view of the seating space and gardening. If you are tired you would have enough space to do the seating. Every area has a touch of the architectural designs and patterns.
With beautiful gardens and decors , the space provides a different spark. The temple side of the main attraction lies in this area.
And going along this way as you take the turn, you could see modern homes built with traditional roofs style. Inspired by the local design, this pace has a great modern touch to traditional houses.

A very peaceful and calm environment makes it a great place to spend time alone or with your own ones.
