The location of this reservoir is in one of the Pusong Lama Fisherman Villages, Lhokseumawe Aceh Indonesia, which is very close to the waters of the Indian Ocean, the location has been dammed with a large breakwater wall, and isolated on the coast. The location, which covers an area of more than 5 hectares, is flanked by several of our neighboring villages, such as Keudè Aceh Village, and Mongeudong Village, both of which are in the Banda Sakti sub-district.
This area that has a promising tourism value, has many assets, but what is very well known is, several circumstances as will be mentioned below.
- Beautiful scenery, coming from 4 directions, like looking to the West to find a great view, in the form of mountains and Sunset (in the afternoon).
- Looking to the east, you will enjoy the high seas accompanied by extensive beach views, as well as fishing activities (related to fishing), and are treated to views of the sunrise (if in the morning).
- Looking to the south, there are various trees such as mangroves, beautiful flowers, and see the activities of herons and each of their Ordo companions.
- Looking towards the south, you will get a view of the mountains (Bukit Barisan) or hills that strengthen the island of Sumatra. You will also meet an island called Dareut Island.
- There are things that make you happy because having fishing assets is free of charge, you are free to take fish in reservoirs and river waters (Estuaries flowing into the open sea), by fishing with your own tools.
- Having any sports assets as a vast nature, of course you bring your own sports equipment, while the area provides a large location.
- and, many more natural tourist destination assets, available within the region.
If you start the journey, you must start from the entrance which is available from 3 directions, namely North, East, and West, while from the south it cannot be passed because it is isolated from the wide mouth of the river.

What you see in the first picture, is the entrance from the city center, better, visit here on foot, because you get the satisfaction of enjoying every nature which is very fresh and beautiful.
Before the pandemic hit all countries, there was a welcome sign with the words written on the board with the title Welcome to Pusong Reservoir but the board was lost due to strong winds, and until now the local government has not replaced it, like information tools that declare other tourist areas, which is often seen in each region.
When you are there, it means you have entered the area and as the beginning of the journey.
As a first step, you will turn left or will look to the north side, then you will see several traditional Aceh canoes which are a means of seeking sustenance in the Waduk Pusong area.
This tool is a characteristic of traditional fishermen from the local community, and if you are lucky to be invited to play and be in a boat, it is very beautiful to be in a location that resembles a lake.
This boat ride is the local community's favorite because they can enjoy the fresh air while being able to see small fish and other big fish playing in it.
If you are tired and satisfied with boating, you can rest under the lush trees, and while resting you can also see the sun hidden behind the thick leaves.
The sun here is very hot but not scorching hot, this is due to the influence of the wind that is below or above the ground about 5 meters. The gentle breeze continues to fan your body like you are in an air-conditioned room, but the roar is felt because the wind is not blocked by anything, so it is free to blow in any direction you want.
If you live it in the shade under a big tree, then you will also hear the beautiful movement of the leaves, if one is sensitive to sound, it can be used as the tempo of the rhythmic music that comes from regular and definite clapping. Of course the branches were playing and singing like a musical leader performing his artistic performance.
The trees here are very beautiful and orderly, like soldiers marching, they stand in an orderly and neat manner, arranged as art, that is the fruit of the results of environmentalists who are in our area.
The colors of the sky are always changing like a moving cloud, this is caused by the influence of sunlight that is exposed directly from the air so it has a huge impact on the camera lens and if you make a good photo. However, my photos don't look fancy because I use a cellphone camera instead of other high-end cameras.
The streets are quiet from all vehicles that can cause dirty pollution, here there are none, therefore the people in this area, take advantage of the long road as a jogging area, sometimes there are also people cycling with the family, but today it is not seen because everyone has their own business to receive the vaccine recommended by the leader.
The area of the black road is 4 meters wide, and its length is as long as the round of the reservoir, if it is measured to be about 5 kilometers of travel.
While jogging or cycling leisurely you will be treated to every beautiful and beautiful natural phenomenon, at least having the advantage of having healthy air that comes from healthy oceans and mountains. The beauty that comes from every nature can make your heart feel comfortable, and love it even more, because the difference in location becomes a therapy for someone.
If tired, rest under the trees that grow along the road, this beautiful atmosphere, becomes a brain therapy in everyday life. The point of this location, being a place to unwind after working all day, many children and parents, often do this. The point is also something that is favorited by every citizen in this region. The little boy was looking at his surroundings, he saw every activity of fishermen who were looking for fish, and also saw the activities of every flying animal that was doing their daily activities.
Some people bring their families to fish on the banks of the road reservoir wall, being in that location is very comfortable, although sometimes they don't get fish but they get public services in the form of beauty across the estuary in the form of traditional fishing routes or transportation when they want to go to sea.
However, everyone who is at the location always gets fishing results in the form of small fish playing on large rocks as the foundation of a neatly arranged road.
Incidentally, what is seen in the picture is that the water in the estuary is receding, so you can see piles of soil protruding from each body of the river flowing with strong currents.
Every community, both living in the local village and even people outside the area, really likes fishing in that area. The natural location always invites people to join in on the activity itself.
The journey continues along the reservoir road, so you will find traditional fishing activities as a location for boats to find fish. That's where the start of the journey to find fish and as the beginning of fishing activities.
The method used by traditional fishermen is by using a simple tool in the form of a knitted net that is assembled manually, and does not require a large cost to get it, but it is easy to get small fish and shrimp, but what is often obtained is big tiger prawns.
Today, I myself also went to sea in the reservoir to get small fish and big shrimp. As seen below.
