Share Our World: Double Arch Hike

If you have been following my trip to Southern Utah posts you will know that I have posted a lot about the arches we visited. This arch was my favorite for 5 reasons.

First

It is so big! If you look at the picture below you will see the people climbing around the base.

Second

As scary as it is for me, I climbed up on part of the arch and my brother @jarvie got this cool shot.

Third

The view from the arch is beautiful.

Fourth

There is a really cool rock formation as you walk out to the arch called the parade of elephants. There is a whole line of them. I got this one the best.

Fifth

It is a really easy hike/stroll on a red sand path.

This hike 10/10.

1Time on trialVery quick hike, more like a stroll

*An extra point for the parade of elephants you pass on the way to the arch.

It is hard to say that this is a hike when it is quick and flat. It loved it and would recommend it to anyone visiting Arches National Park.

According to the National Park Service

Double arch is the tallest (112 feet/ 34 meters) and second longest (144 feet/ 44 meters) in the park.

Yay for super cool arches, especially this awesome double arch!
