Hail to the Hive!

I do love to stretch my legs after being trapped in the boat and as it has been raining recently we got trapped in the boat for a while. Last week I had a little walk around the nature trails and paths on the side of the canal we have been mooring on but as I keep seeing people on the other side appear out of the bushes, I thought I’d take a peek at whats over that side.

So first things first I need to cross the bridge just down the canal side a ways.

Now the sign post doesn’t seem to have anything pointing that way but I don’t care as I know there must be walkways there as I’ve seen people over there.

So over the bridge I go.

Ok so first impressions are.

Very beautiful.

But where does this actually go?

Ah ok so now what do I do? Left or right ? hmmmm Lets go left. I'm not Zoolander, turning left is easy for me 🤣

It's actually quite pleasant taking a stroll and having absolutely no bloody idea where the blazes i am going.

Might as well go this way I doubt it's possible to get lost on a Bird sanctuary nature trail.

Ok more bridges.

I'll keep going until I either bump into some doggers or some twitchers.

This isn't even useful as I don't know where any of it is.

I go thatta way!

I don't like the look of the dude sinking in the yellow triangle! That doesn't look good.

Keep off the silt, keep off the silt!

Well there's some light and what looks like a clearing up here so keep on keeping on I say.

Kind of hoping there's no Troll under that bridge. No Silt Troll trying to pull me under...

Ah that looks familiar. That's badger so this bit is on the other side of the canal and this is where those people keep appearing from. Mystery solved.

She looks pretty cool from this perspective. But I must press on.

Hmmm I can get a closer look on the other side of this bridge. Still no sign of any trolls.

I'm a bit confused about this sign. Ahh wait it's an imaginative covid social distancing sign. So If I encounter any doggers in here I am to keep at least 2 peregrine wingspans away from them. Makes perfect sense.

And on I go!

This looks interesting. I suspect it's some sort of bird watching lookout place.

Yup, that's what it will be.

More completely useless signs.

Informing me this is a small stream. Well it's not the bloody river Nile is it!

Ok so now I haven't the faintest idea where I be.

I think someone has a full time job making completely useless signs in this place.

Ok Let me see if I can spot one of these birds then.

They're tiny and I think there may be a bit of yellow on them.

I'll just say yep I spotted one or 2 of them.

Hmmm whats this a glory hole for the doggers?

made my way back to the bridge and it looks like rain is coming. Best get back and crack open a well earned beer.
