I can still vividly remember how I had goosebumps upon seeing an enormous Crocs having his meal. It was really scary that I hugged my daughter so tight that she even told me "are you scared mom"? It suddenly made me laugh. Yes, eventhough they're inside their cage, I ought to think about all the scary thoughts and the what if's. It wasn't my first time seeing those crocodiles but I still get scared, I mean, who wouldn't right?

Today, my daughter told me that she misses going outside and since I can't bring her with me because of this long overdue pandemic, we did a virtual time traveling and found ourselves remembering the crocodiles and animals we saw at Crocolandia.

To give you an overview, Crocolandia is located at Burgos St., Talisay City, Cebu. It's twenty minutes away from SM Seaside City Cebu. It's accessible via South Road Properties (SRP). The entrance fee for Crocolandia is Php200.00 per adult and Php150.00 per Kid.

This happened three years ago, back when my daughter had their school field trip. I remember she was too excited running around with her classmates and experienced her first encounter with Mr. Crocodile. Some of her classmates cried and got scared but my daughter was very busy asking me too many questions like, why is the water green and why there were leaves on crocodile's body. She's always like that, her curiousity always win over her fear. While her mom was shaking in fear.

In this picture, she's the one who keeps on asking me to take a photo of her. I kept on dragging her far from the fence but she just smiled.

Right before our tour inside Crocolandia, there's a tour guide that will explain the rules for safety purposes. You are not allowed to feed the animals inside since aside from crocodiles, there were snakes, monkeys, birds, turtles and even deers. And children must always be accompanied with adults all the time. We also witnessed Mr. Crocs feeding time where he ate the whole chicken in one go.

So why was the water green? My daughter asked. How did I answer them that time? Ahh, that's because Mr. Crocs is trying to hide from the people. That's why they made the water green. Haha, this momma always have that scenario in her life wherein, she always tried her best to answer every question that her daughter throws at her.

You can also see different kinds of turtles swimming in the water. There were fishes too. Actually, Crocolandia serves as an Animal Conservation Center. Some of them are almost extincts already.

Seeing how happy my daughter was during this entire trip, made this memorable day extra special. That's why it's really important to take photos too, it reminds us for all the good and beautiful memories that is worth keeping for. Now we can simply go back to those times by looking at it and we can travel virtually.

Reliving this moment with my daughter now made me so grateful to God, that despite everything, we are still breathing and alive.

Life is short, so we have to treasure each moment as if it's our last day.

That's it for now, always remember to be grateful for you are alive and well! 😊 see you on my next post! adios!
