Hello hivers, it's punkblogs here. Today let me take you to a divine land which is located in the heart of Assam. It is one of the most visited tourist destination in Assam since inauguration of the temple. What makes this destination unique is the SHIVALINGA that is about 130 feet tall which makes it the world's largest Shivalinga till date. Some of you might not be familiar with the word Shivalinga, So for them, Shivalinga is a sculptural representation of hindu god lord Shiva.
It is not located far from the state capital. It will be about 60-80 km from the airport to my approximation.The town name is called Nagaon. You will get all the facilities like parking spot for your vehicle's , drinking water and even lodges near the region although woth the fact that it was completely opend on 26th of February, 2021. This shivalinga is also provided with illumination at night which makes it look paranormal.
It was built by government of India with the help of a priest who believed that a demon guru performed his rituals under a sacred fire. Construction work for this temples was started back in 2003 and was finished in 2021. It took almost 18 years to complete the construction. I dont know what made it took this long .
I'll definitely recommend you to visit this destination if you're travelling to Assam. Not during this pendemic tho. All the cities, public transportation system will be closed after 12 P.M till 15th of june in Assam.
Other destinations that you can explore in Nagaon is Paradise lake, wildlife sanctuary and im sure you'll find plenty others in the internet. Hope this post is helpfull to you guys to know a new travelling destination. Shower your love
