🥇 Travel with me! Let's climb Cerro Monserrate, Bogotá, Colombia by @sofiaquino98

I think there are two things that characterize Bogotá very well, at least from a visual perspective. One, its architecture of reddish bricks and pointed roofs, and two, the beautiful mountain that borders much of the city. As soon as we arrived in Colombia we asked about tourist sites to see and visit. Among the first and most mentioned was Monserrate Hill, which belongs to the eastern hills of Bogota. Of course, this was a must visit, as we were very excited to see the city from the heights. The first time we decided to go we did not arrive on time because due to the pandemic the schedules are more limited, the second time we prepared better and by noon we were at the foot of the mountain, ready to climb. Later in the post I will tell you a little about the rates, schedules and tips to enjoy this experience to the fullest, for now, if you want to know how we did in this adventure from the moment we arrived until we got off the mountain, read on!

🥈 The wilder yet still so charming side of Sado Island, Japan by @maxinpower

And we are back on Sado, the island of the exiled. Well, the banishments happened some centuries ago, but Sado lives from this reputation and from this times until today. As written before, in earlier times, politicians, intellectuals and even emperors who had fallen out of favor were banished to Sado, but for the island itself this really payed off in terms of cultural aspects. Various temple complexes and also the spread of Noh(theater) culture are still visible signs of this cultural influence, which was brought here to the island especially from Kyoto. But apart from temples, Noh stages and other remnants of bygone times, Sado is blessed with a wonderful natural scenery. On the island which is shaped like an S, there are two mountain ranges stretching in the north and south, with a lowland in between, where most of the islanders live. And since Sado as an island is inevitably surrounded by water, there is pure coastal landscape, mostly rather rocky but often spectacular. A paradise for hikers and divers, and for all those who are looking for a break from the stressful hustle and bustle of Japanese cities.

🥉 Karkloof Canopy Tour® | The Karkloof Nature Reserve, South Africa by @flores39

Since my tandem paragliding descent from the top of Signal Hill in Cape Town, South Africa, at least five days have passed and now we are in Howick, a city located in the province of KwaZulu-Natal, admired and preferred for its altitude, vast biodiversity and fascinating landscapes whose biotope tells beautiful stories; These physical, natural and cultural characteristics have made it a tourist emporium that attracts hundreds of travelers and visitors in search of ecological adventures such as zip lining on the Karkloof Canopy Tour, the Karkloof Nature Reserve, which is only 19 kilometers from Howick.
