Tourist bogs located in national parks and reserves are important natural attractions in Estonia. Almost all of them are fitted and ideal for hiking.
We started our trip from Tallinn in a small group by car. The Paukjärv study trail is located in the Põhja-Kõrvemaa nature reserve and starts from the Kaksiksilla parking. There, we left our car and then followed the path.

Туристические болота, расположеные в национальных парках и заповедниках, являются важными природными достопримечательностями Эстонии. Почти все они благоустроены и идеально подходят для пеших прогулок.
Отправились мы из Таллинна небольшой группой на автомобиле. Учебная тропа Паукъярв находится в заповеднике Пыхья-Кырвемаа и берёт начало от парковки Каксиксилла, где мы оставили свою машину, а дальше пошли пешком по тропинке.

The trail was leading through the Great Kõnnu Swamp between beautiful lakes and swamp ponds of various sizes. Sometimes, the trail looks like a regular path but for the most part it is a wooden walkway. On the photo below you can see my son's girlfriend Nadya.

Тропа шла через Большое Кыннуское болотоу между красивыми озерами и болотными водоемами разной величины. Иногда она выглядит как обычная тропа, но по большей части это деревянные мостки. На фото на этих мостках стоит подруга моего сына Надя.

A variety of landscapes, forest and marsh lakes, different types of forests can be seen while walking along the trail, but much better you can admire all that looking from the observation towers. There were two such towers on our way. One of them was approximately in the middle of the way, and the second, the higher one, was near Lake Paukjärve. To make things better, it stands on the ridge, so the views from this observation tower are excellent.

Многообразие ландшафтов, лесных и болотных озер, различных типов лесов можно видеть гуляя по тропе, но гораздо лучше можно полюбоваться всем этим, глядя со смотровых вышек. Таких вышек на нашем пути было две. Одна из них была примерно на середине пути, а вторая, более высокая, у озера Паукярве. К тому же, стоит она на гряде, поэтому обзор с нее великолепный.

In this picture, long shadows of trees on one of overgrown lake in the swamp impressed me a lot.

This map shows our route. It begins from a white star in a red circle, and ends by Lake Paukjärve. The lake is not big, 300-500 meters across, its depth is up to 11 meters. As for the name of the lake, 'Pauk' means 'shot' in Estonian. According to the legend, a shot from a gun near the lake shore echoes 7 times, but we did not check it. :-)

На этом плане виден наш маршрут. Начало его - это белая звездочка в красном кружочке, а окончание - у озера Паукярве. Озеро небольшое, 300-500 метров в поперечнике, глубина до 11 метров. Что касается названия озера - Pauk означает по-эстонски выстрел. По легенде, выстрел из ружья на берегу озера отражается эхом 7 раз, но мы это не проверяли :-)

You can see for yourself that swamps can be beautiful. We were there in the middle of summer, but they say it is beautiful there at any time of the year. People go there for picnics or overnight in tents, as there are parking places for tourists and vacationers with fireplaces, firewood, etc. They also go there for berries and mushrooms. We also picked up some blueberries, which we ate with pleasure on the way back. We haven't seen any mushrooms along the path, perhaps they have already been collected before us.

Вы сами видите, что и болота могут быть красивыми. Мы были там в середине лета, но, говорят, там красиво в любое время года. Люди ездят туда на пикники или с ночевкой в палатках, так как там оборудованы места стоянок для туристов и отдыхающих с кострищами, дровами и т.д. Ездят туда и за ягодами и грибами. Мы тоже набрали немного черники, которую с удовольствием съели на обратном пути. Грибов вдоль дорожки не видели, возможно, их уже собрали до нас.
