Lucerne is a city located in the center of Switzerland called and (the heart of Switzerland) on the shores of the lake of the same name.
A visit to this city gives the opportunity to see and experience the fairytale look of this city, time is always a problem, it is too short to visit everything, but still a couple of interesting things that I photographed and managed to see in one afternoon.
SYMBOL OF THE CITY OF LUZERN:
Between the old and the new town there is a chapel bridge which is also a symbol of the town itself, unique not only in age but also in the fact that there is a water tower older than the bridge itself.
The tower, located somewhere in the middle of the bridge, was built before the bridge in the 14th century, but today it looks like it belongs to the bridge. This tower was built in an octagonal shape, it used to serve as a prison.
The bridge is 204 m long, it is one of the largest and oldest wooden bridges in Europe. Wood is considered to be the only used material brought by water in the midst of the great floods that were frequent on and near Pilate.
Today, the bridge is the main attraction of tourists, it abounds in rich flowers in the summer period.
BY BOAT THROUGH THE TURQUOISE WATER OF THE LAKE:
Boat on the turquoise water of the lake, like a picturesque fairy tale depicts buildings on the water that are located on the shores of the lake.
The lake is named after the town itself, known for the largest settlement along its blue shores, and it is also known for its numerous summer resorts.
The lake lies at an altitude of 434 meters, the length of the lake is about 39 kilometers, and it is 3 kilometers wide.
We sailed on a beautiful lake enchanted by the beauty of beautiful views, which surround the lake from beautiful buildings to resorts and mountainous areas covered with greenery. A beautiful city worth visiting in the heart of Switzerland.
