Remembering one beautiful summer day, how we were not able to go somewhere further this summer, we toured Serbia and its landscapes that we had not visited before.

RAM FORTRESS
On the hill above the Danube is the fortress Ram.
It is located on a rock that slopes towards the Danube from the northeast side.
Ram Fortress is one of the oldest fortifications in Serbia, the exact origin of this fortress is not known, but it was first mentioned in 1128, where the Hungarian and Byzantine armies clashed.
The frame has the base of an irregular pentagon, the city consists of 5 towers similar in architectural concept, but with different bases arranged on four levels.
The frame is quite well preserved today. The towers are in good condition, except for the southeast one, whose front part is almost completely destroyed. Today there is a settlement around the fortress under the same name as the fortress, the settlement is called Ram.
Right next to the fortress there is a restaurant, and around it are houses that can be seen in the surroundings.

The Danube is the longest river in Europe after the Volga. The Danube flows through ten countries, and water from about twenty countries contributes to its flow. It used to divide empires and regions, and today it is a river that connects people.
The Danube is very rich in fish, so small motor boats and fishermen are often found on it.
We slowly approach the port, the ferry that transports us.
While we waited for the car to get off the ferry, I went down to take a few more photos.

The car is ready and we can go home, we took wonderful impressions with us from this short but beautiful trip.
Spring is almost at the door, I would love to visit this place again.
