MOVENPICK Cebu & Ibiza Beach Club: My 5-star Mediterranean Resort Experience
Movenpick Cebu is the only 5-star Mediterranean-inspired beachfront hotel in Cebu. But before it became the Famous Movenpick it was Hiltons Hotel. We went there several times with my sisters @eeventuree and @sassycebuana and my ex-boyfriend.

Golden Hour @ Ibiza
My best friend celebrated her birthday in Movenpick Resort. It was a 2-night stay in the Presidential Suite Room. Any room is okay with me but with Presidential Suite, are you kidding me? Of course, without hesitation, I said yes even I needed to be absent from work. Of course, I cannot afford not to spend and celebrate my BFF's birthday Hahaha. In our decade of friendship, I didn't miss even a single birthday she had. I need to unwind and relax at that time because I was so stressed out with my Boss.
A day before I went shopping at H&M in Ayala Mall for my swimwear. When I arrived home I packed the sunscreen essentials, vitamins and my jammies. Because I cannot sleep without my pyjamas. It was the day after that my best friend messaged me that she will pick me up around 11:00 am. Afterwards, we drove towards The Axis in Escario to have our lunch. We dined in Ricos Lechon for lunch. After our heavy meal, we go directly to the resort.
When we arrived we parked our car in the basement and when you enter the resort premises you will be greeted by a courteous staff also the entrance is an all-white courtyard inspired by greek architecture. With the white walls and turquoise accents, Movenpick certainly makes you feel like you’re having a vacation in a posh resort somewhere in the Mediterranean. The high ceiling and modern furniture give us the guest that homey and spacious feeling. A few steps away from the lobby, guests can play a game of billiards or table tennis, while the kids can keep themselves busy with an Xbox 360.
Upon checking in, we went right away to our room and we were surprised how big it is, the amenities, the coffee machine, the bathtub, the toiletries. I cannot explain how I feel at that moment, I just thought it was a dream. Never in my entire life, I would stay or spend a fortune in this luxurious hotel. I am glad I have a friend who is generous to share her blessings. My best friend is living with her husband outside of the country and I don't know when are we going to see each other again. 😢( I am emotional writing this blog)
After putting our things in the room since it is too hot to go out we rested for a while and went out around 4:00 pm and spending our time in Ibiza ordering some pizza and a beer. We waited for the sunset and enjoying the view and sea breeze. I can say at that time life is great!
After our siestas we were hungry so we went to the restaurant for dinner. After our sumptuous dinner, we went to the room to rest since we were tipsy and tired. The following day we woke up early for the morning dip but before heading to the beach we ate breakfast at the Sails Restaurant. While we were eating we notice that few people are swimming in the pool. Also at the back of the lobby, you can see the inviting pool and jacuzzi, nestled under the shade of giant coconut trees.

When you scroll around you can see a tropical garden with a view of a lovely beach, you can also relax with friends in the cabana for some privacy. You can spend romantic sunsets at the Ibiza Beach Club where you can whine and relax sipping beer or mojitos with you.
In the evening the Ibiza will give you spectacular entertainment you cannot forget. What we experienced at that time is the Bubble Bath Party hosted by an international DJ. We were having so much fun that night and we were too drunk too. As they say YOLO ( you only live once) money can be earned but your youth and time will never come back.
On our last day we woke up late around 9:30 am because we were too drunk 😅 I said hey if we will not go down now the breakfast buffet will be closed at 10:30. Of course, we needed to enjoy our breakfast, we hurriedly go to the Sails Restaurant for the breakfast. The Sails is Movenpick's main dining restaurant, which features an international buffet, breakfast, lunch and dinner, along with a creative a la carte menu. Breakfast is served from 06:30 am to 10:30 am, featuring their extensive breakfast buffet, which includes a touch of international and local delights. I didn't eat a lot since I am not that hungry. After our breakfast, we went to the cabana for the photo op haha. Of course, making it worthwhile. I now pose for the gram no matter how hot it is I don't care because I am enjoying it.
Then I ran to the beach and enjoying my sunbathing. I don't care if I am too dark-skinned it doesn't matter to me as long as I enjoyed what I do. Staying in the Presidential Suites has a lot of freebies like Spa, Wine, fruits in the Table, Delicious Dinner and a lot more. I never would think that in the future I will be able to experience it again. I am grateful it happened. My once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Enjoy life to the fullest. Now my crazy friends are married and living abroad while I am about to settle down. This pandemic makes me realized a lot of things. I am happy I experienced those crazy things in life. Remembering our clubbing days, drunk days and road trip days. Reminiscing those days somehow makes me smile. It was a great staycation and spending time with great friends. Staycation with Movenpick is one of the many's I am grateful for. If you are looking for a Fun in the sun, sand and sea then Movenpick is a good choice. Until my next staycation experience. 💋💋💋
