While in Malaysia and staying in Kuala Lumpur, it is worth visiting the caves several kilometers from the city center. They are called Batu Caves. It is a complex of limestone caves discovered relatively recently, 130 years ago.

Będąc w Malezji i przebywając w Kuala Lumpur, warto odwiedzić jaskinie oddalone o kilkanaście kilometrów od centrum miasta. Nazywają się Batu Caves. Jest to zespół wapiennych jaskiń odkryty stosunkowo niedawno bo 130 lat temu.

In front of the entrance there is a huge golden statue of the deity Murungun. In Hindu mythology, it is the God of war.

The largest and most impressive of the caves is about 100 meters high and is called Cathedral Cave.

Największa i najbardziej okazała z jaskiń ma około 100 metrów wysokości i nazywa się Cathedral Cave, czyli Jaskinia Katedralna.

To get to it you have to climb 272 two stairs. I must admit that in the extreme heat it is quite an effort.

Aby do niej się dostać trzeba pokonać 272 dwa stopnie schodów. Muszę przyznać, że w ogromnym upale jest to spory wysiłek.

The caves and huge grottoes make a great impression, they are full of various animals and of course monkeys - macaques, which are clever and can be malicious.

Jaskinie i ogromne groty robią duże wrażenie, pełne są różnych zwierząt no i oczywiście małp - Makaków, które są sprytne i potrafią być złośliwe.
