This weekend Islamabad's weather was pleasant so I planned to visit some happening place near Islamabad. I chose Khanpur Dam which is one hour drive away from Islamabad. I heard about a newly developed place named Mabali Island. Mabali is a family fun resort and is very beautifully landscaped on the bank of Khanpur lake. To enter in Mabali resort you must have to get a 500 Rs entry ticket which is adjustable in any food or ride.
Mabali was a truly happening place and a lot of people enjoyed the facility. At Mabali they have developed a lot of different sitting areas. It was our bad luck that weather was a bit hot but still under some cover we enjoyed our meal. The food quality was good and they also offer every kind of cuisine from desi to continental.
Mabali is famous for its fun activities and specially water sports. In Mabali there are 3 to 4 ziplines, small course for children and for adults a long zipline. They also have very fine quality boats and offer following water rides like Jet Ski, Family Boating, Wake Tubing, Kayaking, Tarzan Jumping, Swimming with Life Jackets and Rowing Boat.
After spending sometime at Mabali Island, I visited another corner of Khanpur Lake where Paragliding activity was going on. This corner of lake has some plain area so it is ideal for Paragliding. Many people visit this place and enjoy the sport. They also take all necessary precautions of safety like life jacket and helmet. Over all a great family fun place and I enjoyed a lot.
