Knowing the history of Peru, this is another of my posts where I talk about history and culture, on this trip I went to see the Huacas del Sol y La Luna, I found out that in fact this is not the real name and it does not have nothing with the stars, it was only the name that its discoverer gave it, interesting fact that to this day they maintain that name, perhaps because the place is already known that way, but I would instead place an appropriation of my own culture, its original name.
Conociendo la historia de Perú, ya este es otro de mis posts donde hablo de la historia y la cultura, en este viaje fui a conocer las Huacas del Sol y La Luna, me enteré que de hecho este no es el nombre real y no tiene nada que con los astros, sólo fue el nombre que le dio su descubridor, interesante dato que hasta el día de hoy mantengan ese nombre, quizá porque ya es conocido así el lugar, pero yo en su lugar como apropiación de mi propia cultura colocaría su nombre original.
Well, to start the tour as a tourist we had to enter the Museum to know, apparently I have entered all the museums that I can and it is almost always the same as I have seen in the previous ones, the only difference was that they did not let me take pictures but guess what? I wanted to take some pictures and they caught me and I had to delete them all but my phone has a trash can from which I could recover them. I only took a photo of the first parts, after that incident I was very calm, I did not want to be embarrassed again, lol.
Bueno, para iniciar el recorrido como turista debíamos entrar al Museo a conocer, por lo visto he entrado a todos los museos que puedo y casi siempre es lo mismo que he visto en los anteriores, la única diferencia fue que no me dejaron tomar fotografías pero adivinen, quise tomar algunas fotografías y me llamaron la atención y tuve que borrarlas todas pero mi celular tiene una papelera del cual pude recuperarlas. Sólo tomé foto a las primeras partes, luego del llamado de atención me quedé muy tranquila, no quería pasar más vergüenza 🥴
I am surprised that there are really many tourists who seem to be interested in culture and its history, usually when I go to museums I usually see very few people and there were museums where I used to frequent very often, that's why I speak from my experience.
Me sorprende que realmente hay muchos turistas que parecen estar interesados por la cultura y su historia, normalmente cuando voy a museos suelo ver muy poca gente y había museos donde yo solía frecuentar muy seguido, por eso hablo desde mi experiencia.
Inside this museum there are many pieces of handicrafts, I was surprised to see all these things and see how precise they were to capture the figures, there were even outfits, necklaces, each stand had a little text to read and know what you're seeing, they even mention the sacrifices, it's quite shocking.

En el interior de este museo se encuentran bastantes piezas de artesanía, me sorprendí de ver todas estas cosas y ver los precisos que eran para plasmar las figuras, incluso había atuendos, collares, cada stand tenía un poco de texto para leer y saber lo que estás viendo, incluso hacen mención de los sacrificios, es bastante impactante.

Then continue with a tour of the Huacas, unfortunately I was only able to visit one. The Huaca de la Luna because in the other Huaca are doing excavations and it is not open to the public, as I always like to sneak around in these places anyway, this time I did not do it and only visited what they showed me.

That is the guide and she started by showing us a bit of the ruins and the engravings on the walls, she showed us a snake, she said that it is not rebuilt, that it is totally original and has only been restored for conservation or at least that was what I understood.

What we have just seen was the wall of the temples and observe the figures, each one of them has a representation for the Moche culture.

After this we had to go up to a higher part of the temple to learn a little more about the history, on my ascent I captured an old woman who seemed somewhat tired, perhaps a very strong path for her.

As we went up, the guide began to show us that this part was really the place where battles took place, what were these battles for in the Moche culture? According to the information of the guide, these battles were to determine a loser who would then be given to the gods as an offering to bless their crops and good weather.
It was a battle where both warriors wore flashy outfits with headdresses on their heads, in battles the winner had to wear the loser's clothes and the loser had to be dragged without their clothes to a room, where he drank or ate a kind of hallucinogen supposedly to purify his body and after a few days it had to be taken to a room where his neck was to be cut with a special neck used for these ceremonies.

Se trataba de una batalla donde ambos guerreros llevaban atuendos llamativos con tocados en sus cabezas, en las batallas el ganador debía usar las prendas del perdedor y el perdedor debía ser arrastrado sin sus ropas hasta un cuarto, donde le deban una especie de alucinógeno supuestamente para purificar su cuerpo y al pasar de algunos días este debía ser llevado a un salón donde su cuello iba a ser cortado con un cuello especial usado para estas ceremonias.

Then we walked a little more to continue observing the temple from the inside, what we know is that there are several temples, and each one is built on top of the other, that means the previous ones are here but covered in adobe, why did they do this? I don't know.

Also observing some strange holes that according to the guide were made by looters to enter inside the temples and steal all their valuables, it is worth mentioning that in the Moche culture their garments were made of metals, they used silver, gold, copper, and in fact their famous ceremonial knife is entirely made of gold and has been stolen a couple of times on this days.
También observando unos extraños huecos que según indica la guía fueron hechos por saqueadores para ingresar adentro de los templos y robar todas sus cosas de valor, cabe mencionar que en la cultura moche sus prendas eran hechas de metales, ellos utilizaban plata, oro, cobre, y de hecho su famoso cuchillo para las ceremonias es completamente de oro y ha sido robado en la actualidad un par de veces.
And finally she show us what the city of Moche was in those times, all the land it occupied and at the other end what would be the Huaca del Sol that on this occasion we could not visit due to the excavations. From this point of view you can see a fairly small space but it really wasn't quite, I have already visited several places in this city where belonged to this culture and some are a bit far from each other.
Y por último nos muestran lo que era la ciudad de moche en aquelllos tiempos, todo el terreno que ocupaba y al otro extremo lo que vendría siendo la Huaca del Sol que en esta ocasión no pudimos visitar por las excavaciones. Desde este punto de vista se ve un espacio bastante pequeño pero realmente no lo era del todo, ya he visitado varios lugares en esta ciudad donde pertenecían a esta cultura y algunos quedan un poco alejados entre sí.
It was quite interesting and the good thing is that I know a little more about this culture from all the places I have visited, I can already speak freely about the Moche culture for all that I have absorbed from these tours and also about the beautiful places that I have visited although I still need more things to see such as that temple that I could not enter.
Fue bastante interesante y lo bueno es que conozco un poco más de esta cultura por todos los lugares que he visitado, ya puedo hablar con libertad acerca de la cultura Moche por todo lo que he absorbido de estos tours y también de los lugares hermoso que he visitado aunque todavía me faltan mas cosas que ver como por ejemplo ese templo que no pude ingresar.
