CERRO BELLA VISTA
El sol abrió espacio entre las nubes después de más de una semana de lluvia y cielo gris.
Las montañas reaparecieron coronadas de blanca nieve.
El viento se volvió una brisa fría pero suave.

Era ahora o quién sabe cuándo, así que emprendimos el camino hacia allá, antes de que la nieve llegue más abajo, entonces habría que esperar hasta que pase el invierno.
Nos abrigamos bien, preparamos comida para llevar, las mochilas y partimos.
A decir verdad yo no tenía idea a qué tipo de sendero me enfrentaría, sabía que era una subida exigente, y nada más. 910 metros de desnivel en 4,5km para ser exactos.
El sendero se adentra en el bosque y casi sin darte respiro empieza a ascender.

Pasando el primer tercio del camino la nieve empezaba a aparecer, pero no es hasta más de la mitad que se formaba un colchon de nieve en polvo.

Aquí el camino se torna complicado si no tienes el equipo técnico necesario. Y éste era nuestro caso, ya que no sabíamos cómo sería. La pendiente se torna muy inclinada en una cara de la montaña donde el sol no llega, la nieve tapa la superficie pedregosa de la montaña haciendo el camino muy incierto y el paso impreciso.

En este punto sentía un paso muy inestable y la pendiente con caída al vacío me intimidó hasta el punto de plantearme bajar, pues la sensación de vértigo me había invadido, sentía que si me daba miedo al subir, la bajada sería peor. Pero me tomé unos minutos para respirar y pensarlo mejor y consideré que sería más seguro volver los cuatro juntos. Así que finalmente seguí.

Y afortunadamente así fue, porque al llegar a la cima, como siempre, el paisaje recompensa el esfuerzo. El sol volvío a iluminarnos calentándono las manos y los pies. Armamos los sandwiches, tomamos mate, y ya satisfechos nuestros sentidos tuvimos que bajar. Las restricciones de circulación aquí empiezan a las 18 los fines de semana así que antes de esa hora ya estábamos de vuelta en casa tomando café, seguido de una ducha calentita y con la energía renovada que la montaña te regala por más duro que sea el camino.
