The year 2020 came as a curse for the whole world. In this Corona period, we also lost our job on 31/07/20. 4 months' salary was also withheld. Every day was passing with great difficulty, but the mind was restless to go somewhere after travelling. Meanwhile, I talked to our friend Naveen of Narkanda and left for Himachal on 25/09/20. From Ranchi, via Dhanbad, Ambala, Kalka, Parwanu, Shimla, I reached Chhairan (Naveen's village) Narkanda at 2.30 pm on 27/09/20. Narkanda is a beautiful place on Rampur Bushahr road, 65km ahead of Shimla, the peaceful atmosphere away from the crowd can attract anyone. Its height from sea level is 2708 meters or 8801 feet. There are dense pine and deodar trees all around. The jungle, apple, pear, apricot and peach trees add to its beauty. We made a long tour plan but whatever happens is what God wishes. Anyway, on 28/09/20, we left from Narkanda in the morning. We decided to try for Kinnar Kailash once. So we reached Powari at 4 pm but the villagers there did not let us go further. Anyway, from there, after paying our respects to Bholenath, we decided to go to Yulla Kanda and reached Yulla village at 7 pm. From here, we started climbing up slowly. It was already 8.15 pm and the climb did not seem to end. After facing the jostling of buses and takers since morning, this climb had made me a bit tired.
I asked, where would Naveen be taking rest today.
Naveen said, Uncle (Naveen calls me Uncle as I am much younger in age) we will set up the tent after crossing the village.
Then we reached Barbarang I found some villagers standing on the way, they said that the administration has banned the trek to Yulla Kanda, so you cannot proceed further. All my happiness was ruined. I pleaded a lot but it was all in vain. Finally a gentleman of the same village, Keshav ji, gave us permission to put up a tent on his land. With a heavy heart, we put up the tent and decided to spend the night there. When we started making Maggi, Keshav ji refused and arranged for food from his home. I left from there at 6 in the morning and at 9 I came down to Cholig village on foot. Continued -----------------

वर्ष 2020 पुरी दुनिया के लिए अभिशाप बन कर आया l इसी कोरोना काल में हमारी नौकरी भी 31/07/20 को चली गई l 4 माह का वेतन भी लटक गया l एक एक दिन बड़ी मुश्किल से कट रहे थे, लेकिन घुम्मकर मन कही जाने को विचलित हो रहा था l इसी बीच नारकन्डा के हमारे मित्र नवीन से बात हुई और मैं 25/09/20 को हिमाचल के लिए निकल गया l रांची से धनबाद, अम्बाला, कालका, परवानु, शिमला होता हुआ 27/09/20 को दोपहर 2.30 बजे छैरन (नवीन का गाव) नारकन्डा पहुंच गया l नारकन्डा शिमला से 65km आगे रामपुर बुशैहर रोड पर एक रमणीय स्थल है, भीड़-भाड़ से दूर शान्त वातावरण किसी को आकर्षित कर सकते हैं l समुद्र तल से इसकी उचाइ 2708 मीटर या 8801 फ़ीट है l चारों तरफ चीड़ व देवदार के घने जंगल, सेव, नासपाती, खुमानी, आडू के पेड़ इसकी सुन्दरता को चार चांद लगाते हैं l हमने एक लम्बा चौड़ा घुमने का प्रोग्राम बनाया लेकिन होता वही है जो इश्वर की मर्जी होती है l खैर 28/09/20 को सुबह नारकन्डा से निकल गए तय हुआ कि किन्नर कैलाश के लिए एक बार ट्राइ किया जाय सो शाम 4 बजे पोवारी जा पहुंचा लेकिन वहा के ग्रामीण आगे नहीं जाने दिये खैर वही से भोले नाथ को नमन कर हम लोगों ने युल्ला कान्डा जाने का तय किया और शाम 7 बजे युल्ला गाव पहुंच गए l यहा से धीरे धीरे उपर चढ़ने लगे रात्री के 8.15 बज चुके थे चढ़ाइ खत्म होने का नाम ही नहीं ले रहा था l सुबह से बस, टेकर के धक्के खाने के बाद इस चढ़ाइ ने थका सा दिया था l
मैने पुछा, नवीन आज का विश्राम कहा होगा l
नवीन बोला, अंकल (उम्र में काफ़ी छोटा होने के कारण नवीन मुझे अंकल ही बोलता है) बस गाव पार कर टेंट लगाएगे l
तभी बारबरन्ग गाव के कुछ लोग रास्ते में खड़े मिले वो बोले युल्ला कान्डा की यात्रा पर प्रशासन ने रोक लगाइ हुइ है अतः आप आगे नहीं जा सकते l मेरी तो सारी खुशी काफ़ुर हो गई, कितना भी मिन्नत किये लेकिन सब बेकार l अंत में वही गाव के एक सज्जन केशव जी ने अपने जमीन में टेंट लगाने की इजाजत दे दी l हम लोग बुझे मन से टेंट लगा वही रात बिताने का फ़ैसला किये, जब हम मैगी बनाने लगे तो केशव जी ने मना कर अपने घर से भोजन का प्रबंध किया l सुबह 6बजे वहा से वापस निकले और 9 बजे निचे चोलीग गाव तक पैदल आ गया l क्रमशः -----------------
