Hello everyone! During one of my trips to the city of Mar del Plata I visited among many beaches and places a special beach called small beach and I found a very interesting statue so I decided to investigate a little about it and today I share with you this event and my experience.
Hola a todos! Durante uno de mis viajes a la ciudad de Mar del Plata visité entre tantas playas y lugares una playa en especial llamada playa chica y me encontré con una estatua bastante interesante así que decidí investigar un poco al respecto y hoy les comparto tal suceso y mi experiencia.
It is a mysterious sculpture that appeared on the rocks very close to the coast of the beach and attracted a lot of attention from tourists and residents alike, since they had never seen it before. This happened at the beginning of this year and had national and international repercussion due to the intrigue of who was the artist who made this sculpture.
It is a woman sitting on a rock with her arms crossed and her face is looking towards the sea. There were many comments and hypotheses about this apparition and they said it was a mermaid who could not return to the sea and was petrified there in the form of a statue, others mentioned that it was a group of young people with the purpose of altering the order, among many other conjectures.
Se trata de una misteriosa escultura que apareció sobre las rocas muy cerca de la costanera de la playa y llamó muchísimo la atención de los visitantes turistas y también residentes ya que nunca la habían visto. Esto sucedió a comienzo de este mismo año y tuvo repercusión nacional e internacional por la intriga de quién había sido el artista que hizo ésta escultura.
Es una mujer sentada sobre una roca con los brazos cruzados y su rostro está mirando hacia el mar. Hubo muchísimos comentarios e hipótesis sobre ésta aparición y decían que era una sirena que no pudo volver al mar y quedó petrificada allí en forma de estatua, otros mencionaban que se trataba de un grupo de jóvenes con finalidades de alterar el orden, entre otras muchas conjeturas.
Shortly after the mystery of this apparition was solved, it was a local doctor and artist named Mario Magrini who gave a lecture to talk about the subject and his decision to have done this.
It was a work made 25 years ago, specifically in 1996 and it was a work that accompanied him and his family for many years but it ceased to belong to his family and was donated as local heritage by placing it on the beach anonymously.
In spite of the artistic transgression, the artist apologized for what he did.
Poco después se resolvió el misterio sobre ésta aparición, fué un médico y artista local llamado Mario Magrini quien dió una conferencia para hablar sobre el tema y su decisión de haber hecho esto.
Fue una obra realiza hace 25 años, específicamente en el año 1996 y fue una obra que lo acompañó a él y a su familia durante muchos años pero dejó de pertenecer a su familia y fue donada como patrimonio local al colocarla en la playa de forma anónima.
A pesar de la transgresión artística el artista pidió disculpas por lo hecho.
Personally I find it very well done despite having acted without the relevant permissions since the author or artist made the appearance of this sculpture anonymously giving recognition and amazement of the same work without any purpose of praise, profit or merit to his own person.
I also consider that the location of this statue is very well located since it is one of the busiest beaches where many people sit to admire the sea, to have a good time, to enjoy and contemplate the scenery.
Personalmente me parece muy bien logrado a pesar de haber actuado sin los permisos pertinentes ya que el autor o artista hizo la aparición de ésta escultura de forma anónima dando así reconocimiento y asombro de la misma obra sin fines de elogios, lucros o mérito alguno hacia su misma persona.
Además considero que la ubicación de ésta estatua está muy bien ubicada ya que es una de las playas más concurridas dónde muchísimas personas se sientan a admirar el mar, a pasar buenos momentos, a disfrutar y contemplar el paisaje.
