Feliz día a toda la comunidad de @haveyoubeenhere ! Este será mi primer post de viajes en la comunidad y quisiera hacerlo a través de esta experiencia que tuve en la Provincia de Buenos Aires, en el año 2019 especificamente en la ciudad de La Plata. Una ciudad moderna construida casi de forma triangular y se dice que por influencias masónicas según algunas de las fuentes que hablan acerca de este tema y es que tan solo basta con verla desde Google Map para fijarte en como esta diseñada.
Happy day to all the @haveyoubeenhere community ! This will be my first travel post in the community and I would like to do it through this experience I had in the Province of Buenos Aires, in 2019 to the city of La Plata. A modern city built almost in a triangular shape and it is said that by Masonic influences according to some of the sources that talk about this topic and it is enough to see it from Google Map to see how it is designed.
Este viaje en especial fuimos a uno de los lugares mas visitados por los extranjeros durante muchos años y es La catedral de la Plata.
This trip in particular we went to one of the most visited places by foreigners for many years and that is the Cathedral of La Plata.
Esta es una plaza que se ubica justo al frente de la Catedral. Ese día en particular en verano no había mucha afluencia de personas, también por los 39º que para ese momento hacían.

Tomando en cuenta el luminoso día que en ese momento hacía se puede notar que a pesar de ser una construcción del año 1884 en su exterior se mantiene casi de manera integra muchos de los detalles artísticos que cubren su fachada y estas gracias a las constantes restauraciones que a lo largo de los años ha tenido la catedral.
Taking into account the bright day at that time, it can be noted that despite being a construction of 1884 on the outside, many of the artistic details that cover its facade are almost completely preserved, thanks to the constant restorations that the cathedral has undergone over the years.
Torre de Jesús | Tower of Jesus
En la parte interna del museo se puede acceder mediante el ascensor que esta en una de las alas de la catedral llamada la Torre de Jesús a la parte superior de la torre y que desde ese mirador se puede ver la ciudad en su panorámica y también se pueden observar detalles del edificio más de cerca como la imagen a continuación:
In the internal part of the museum you can access through the elevator that is in one of the wings of the cathedral called the Tower of Jesus to the top of the tower and from that viewpoint you can see the city in its panoramic view and you can also observe details of the building more closely as the image below:

En la parte del museo se pueden apreciar diferentes artilugios e indumentaria religiosa utilizada con anterioridad al Concilio Vaticano II, libros sagrados escritos en latín, vasos sagrados y reliquias de Santos.

Una vez inaugurada la catedral, el 19 de Noviembre de 1932, las obras se centraron en completar el interior del templo mayor, trabajos como la incorporación de los bienes muebles en madera, colocación de vitrales alemanes y franceses y la colocación del piso de granito. A partir de ese momento las obras se paralizaron y tuvieron que pasar casi sesenta años para que, entre 1996 y 1999 pudiera completarse la envolvente edilicia con el levantamiento de las dos torres principales y carillón de 25 campanas, 6 torretas, la totalidad de los pináculos, el frontón principal y los tramos de parapetos sobre las naves laterales, el deambulatorio y la nave principal. También se colocaron las esculturas de los doce apóstoles que flanquean las tres entradas al templo, figuras bañadas en cobre que se realizaron sobre la base de un diseño que la Fundación Catedral entregó a la empresa constructora.
Así pudo verse materializado el sueño de su creador, el ingeniero Pedro Benoit, cuyo proyecto data del año 1884.
Florón: Es un ornato esculpido que representa una hoja, una flor o un motivo esculpido que decora los remates. La llama que se eleva en el florón, es símbolo de purificación e iluminación y representa el impulso espiritual. Como fuego, sintetiza al Dios viviente y pensante que es Cristo y siendo el Redentor la luz del mundo, alumbra el orbe con la luz de la verdad.
Once the cathedral was inaugurated, on November 19, 1932, the works were focused on completing the interior of the main temple, works such as the incorporation of the wooden furniture, the placement of German and French stained glass windows and the placement of the granite floor. From that moment on, the works were paralyzed and almost sixty years had to pass so that, between 1996 and 1999, the building envelope could be completed with the erection of the two main towers and the carillon of 25 bells, 6 turrets, the totality of the pinnacles, the main pediment and the sections of parapets over the lateral naves, the ambulatory and the main nave. The sculptures of the twelve apostles flanking the three entrances to the church were also installed. These copper-plated figures were made on the basis of a design that the Cathedral Foundation provided to the construction company.
Thus, the dream of its creator, the engineer Pedro Benoit, whose project dates back to 1884, was realized.
Florón: It is a sculpted ornament that represents a leaf, a flower or a sculpted motif that decorates the finials. The flame that rises in the fleuron is a symbol of purification and illumination and represents the spiritual impulse. As fire, it synthesizes the living and thinking God who is Christ and being the Redeemer the light of the world, it illuminates the world with the light of truth.

Es un lugar bastante agradable cuando se va en plan de visitar a la historia como un fin de semana y es que también funciona bajo un horario de atención con guías que relatan todo lo relacionado con la Catedral y enfocada mayormente en la construcción de la obra.
It is a very nice place when you go to visit the history as a weekend and it also works under a schedule of attention with guides who tell everything related to the Cathedral and focused mostly on the construction of the work.
Así que si tienes la disponibilidad y si estas cerca de Buenos Aires te invito a que visites esta Catedral y pases una tarde diferente con tus amigos o familiares.
So if you have the availability and if you are near Buenos Aires I invite you to visit this Cathedral and spend a different afternoon with your friends or family.
