Robbery At The Grave Yard| FLASH FICTION

We waited for the deep grey sky to swallow up the quenching balls of the sun before we got to work. Once a blanket of thick darkness had covered the graveyard, we went to work, all the five of us. Our mission was simple - exhume the corpse of the prince, recover all the jewelleries with which he had been buried, and put him back to sleep. We would then sell it to make fortunes. Smart lads, we were done in an hour.

At dawn, however, we got the shock of our lives. The merchants to whom we had presented the jewelries, upon assessment, told us that they were fake, worthless. The undertakers had obviously outwitted us.
