Una de las criaturas que más me fascinaba de la mitología griega, siempre fue medusa, independientemente del simbolismo o diversas percepciones que cada quien pueda crearse sobre ella... Para mí, representa esa dualidad que es común en todos nosotros, luz y oscuridad, guerra y paz, fuerza y debilidad, es carnal y espiritual...
Made of Fragments | Hechos de Fragmentos:
Inside us there are always battles, it is like an underworld where thousands of gorgons live... Confrontations that harden and fragment many parts of our being, that make us sometimes forget our essence. No matter how hard and rough your mind, soul and heart have become at certain moments of your life. The important thing is to accept that we will not always be well, that we will not always be smiling, negative things are also part of life, they should not be repressed or censored. Letting it flow with the river and rest is part of the change to a better physical, mental and spiritual state.
En nuestro interior siempre hay batallas, es como un inframundo donde habitan miles de gorgonas... Enfrentamientos que endurecen y fragmentan muchas partes de nuestro ser, que nos hacen olvidar a veces nuestra esencia. No importa cuan duro y áspero se haya tornado tu mente, tu alma y corazón en ciertos momentos de tu vida. Lo importante es aceptar que no siempre vamos a estar bien, que no siempre estaremos sonriendo, las cosas negativas también son parte de la vida, no hay que reprimirlas o censurarlas. Dejarlo fluir con la corriente y descansar es parte del cambio a un mejor estado físico, mental y espiritual.
Creative Process/ Proceso Creativo:
This design was just that, a very fragmented event. I decided to do a kind of photomanipulation and collage, recycling photos I had to create a base. I used Photoshop to edit, paint and add all the necessary effects to create that dark and melancholic atmosphere, including gif animation.
Este diseño fue justamente eso, un evento muy fragmentado. Decidí hacer como una especie de fotomanipulación y collage, reciclando fotos que tenía para crear una base. Use Photoshop para editar,pintar y agregar todos los efectos necesarios para crear esa atmósfera melancólica y oscura, incluyendo la animación gif.
