Hola Hivers. El día de hoy les traigo una nueva ilustración, se trata de Dexter de la serie animada cómica "El Laboratorio de Dexter". Otra de mis animaciones favoritas, creada por Genndy Tartakovsky para Cartoon Network. Dexter era un niño científico genio que tenía un súper laboratorio secreto, donde realizaba sus inventos y experimentos. A menudo era visitado por su imprudente hermana mayor Dee Dee, a quien consideraba tonta y molesta (en realidad era muy dulce). Esta siempre lograba entrar al laboratorio a pesar de los controles para mantenerla afuera.
A continuación mi versión de Dexter.

Hi Hivers. Today I bring you a new illustration, it is Dexter from the animated comedy series "Dexter's Laboratory". Another of my favorite animations, created by Genndy Tartakovsky for Cartoon Network. Dexter was a genius child scientist who had a secret super laboratory, where he carried out his inventions and experiments. He was often visited by his reckless older sister Dee Dee, whom he considered silly and annoying (she was actually very sweet). She always managed to get into the lab despite his controls to keep her out.
Here is my version of Dexter.
Si están siguiendo la serie de ilustraciones que estoy haciendo últimamente, habrán notado que mi intención es hacer recreaciones creepy de algunos personajes. Obviamente Dexter no fue la excepción. En esta versión, se vuelve un demente y empieza a experimentar en su laboratorio con seres vivos (al mejor estilo del Dr. Frankenstein), siendo Dee Dee su conejillo de indias. “Computadora”, la voz femenina proveniente de una especie de inteligencia artificial en su laboratorio que siempre lo ayudaba, intenta hacerlo entrar en razón pero este termina destruyéndola. ¿Qué le habrá ocurrido a Dee Dee?
En seguida les comparto imágenes del proceso de ilustración de Dexter. Quise jugar con las formas principales del personaje (que es muy sencillo), y agregarle detalles en torno a la breve historia que cree para él. Logré el resultado que tenía en mente para esta caricatura. Abajo les dejo un enlace con imágenes del Dexter original.
If you are following the series of illustrations that I am doing lately, you will have noticed that my intention is to do creepy recreations of some characters. Obviously Dexter was no exception. In this version, he becomes insane and begins to experiment in his laboratory with living beings (in the best style of Dr. Frankenstein), with Dee Dee being his guinea pig. "Computer", the female voice coming from a kind of artificial intelligence in his laboratory that always helped him, tries to make him see reason but he ends up destroying her. What happened to Dee Dee?
Now I share images of Dexter's illustration process. I wanted to play with the main forms of the character (which is very simple), and add details around the short story that I create for him. I achieved the result I had in mind for this cartoon. At the end I leave a link with images of the original Dexter.
