Dear Chessfriends,
in the 6th round of the Hivechess tournament we were a smaller round again with 9 players, but a slighter higher average rating of 1715 compared to the last 2 rounds. We had 7 minutes for each game, so the overall berserk rate was as to be expected very high (26%)! However at least for me it didn´t felt that I would have more time 😃.
Despite starting a little late, @foxconnmars could win this round (for the first time in Hivechess) - Congratulations! He lost just one game. After a quite bad start I could find in the match and end as second. The third place was taken by @yazp (zulukill) (best tournament performance), closely followed by @pereu4ivatel (drakOnb) with both 10 points.
By the way, this time we again played without winning streaks, so the field was more close together - the first 4 players only separated by 3 points.
@gingerbyna (Jeanjarrgh) gained the 5th place, and @rodrook with his 6th rank finally earned his first tournament points in this season, well done! The remaining tournament points went to @rafaelaquino (ajedrezclub2t) (7th) and @aakrist (TheOnlyNischal) (8th). @sammy00 (migmag) had the unlucky ninth rank - maybe next time.

No changes at the first 3 places today, but @yazp (zulukill) could overtake @jrevilla (josephchess90) and is now on the 4th place, sneaking a little closer to the third rank. Likewise @gingerbyna (Jeanjarrgh) could overtake @cattoOOO and is now 6th. Due to his victory today @foxconnmars could gain 3 ranks which gives him the 7th spot. And @rodrook could propel himself from the last to the 12th rank.
Payouts:
The winner of each round gets 8 points, the second 7,... and the 8th 1 point.
Season 2 goes over 11 rounds and all points are summed up. All Hivechess-related post rewards are pooled and 90% go to the price pool. The winner will get 30% of that price pool, the second 20%, the third 10%, the rest is divided equally among the other players active on Hive or Steem, according to the no. of rounds they have played. So everyone has a chance to get something and the more you play the more you win! Prices are payed out in Hive Tokens.
