The Morrigan

The Morrigan is a figure in Irish mythology, who is associated with war / battle, fate and death. She can shape shift but her favourite way to appear is as a crow.

The Morrigan shows up in your life when she wishes to call you to service, people first begin to get signs through dreams, feeling watched or haunted and debilitating and persistent nightmares. Her presence is often frightening and disturbing and does not let up till her call is acknowledged. Her arrival in your life is to reshape you and your life, so you can serve her missions. People often set up a shrine or altar dedicated to her, since this helps to externalise her presence so that she does not have to constantly occupy your dreams and waking mind in order to stay present in your life. It gives you some measure of control over when you engage with her and when you choose to focus on other things. She does, however believe strongly in sovereignty and if you do not wish to take up her call you have every right to say no.
