Princess Mononoke 🌿My character drawing

I could admire for hours what the Ghibli studio is doing for us all and what contribution and inspiration the cartoons of this studio made to me. Every masterpiece is unique. Each story hides inside itself a deep meaning. Each character is endowed with his own special qualities.

And yet for me there are undeniable favorites. Among them is "Princess Mononoke." This is perhaps one of Hayao Miyazaki's most serious and sad cartoons.

Princess Mononoke, my character drawing

This is the story of the endless conflict of nature and man, the living world and the dead iron, the conflict of all living and all our civilization. This is a story about the difficult choice that each of us should make in this dispute. But the saddest thing is that the choice no longer solves anything, because the process can no longer be stopped. Man forgot that he owed everything to nature, that she gave him life. We all turned out to be ungrateful children and have almost killed the forest god. Miyazaki asks us to think of it before it's too late.

Princess Mononoke

For me, Princess Mononoke (aka San) is a special character, strong and endowed with a bright idea. She is ready to die for what she loves, she seeks to protect the forest and all its inhabitants. Watching the cruelty of people, she naturally keeps away from them and experiences persistent hostility. In my opinion, this is one of the strongest and most iconic female characters in Ghibli's studio.
