Mountain View in Oslob

We have been in Oslob for over three weeks now and as much as we want to go around and try to explore the town, we are still also afraid of the many cases of COVID in the province that we better stay at home.

But last week, we were able to get out of the house and check out the mountain area nearby, this is just very near to our home, it took us only around five minutes drive to get here and there are no people around so we had the entire place to ourselves.

Thus, I would like to share with you the view.

The image below was when we were on our way to the location. My husband and I were in a different vehicle. It was the brother in law who drove the pick up and the rest of the young cousins were at the back enjoying the fresh air.

The view on the way to the mountains. We have never been here before because the road was not yet cemented. It was only early this year that the road construction was finished. When the pandemic happened and the road was just done, most of the locals would go out and jog here. They somehow stopped jogging after a few months.

We arrived in less than five minutes and this view greeted us! I super love the skies and the sea! In a very clear day, they said the neighboring islands like Siquijor and Bohol are visible.

Another reason for coming here was that we were going to unbox the new drone that my husband bought. It was very windy when we arrived so we were not sure if we could get it to fly.

image.png

Unfortunately, the drone didn't have enough battery life as well as the device requires a new application and there's no signal in this area so we have to delay the test flight.

image.png

Up until today, the drone has never been flown yet. We will get back to this place by Saturday and hopefully, we could get the drone to fly on that day.

Because we can't do anything, we just walked to the next mountain. This was a good idea for those who want to lose weight. The roads are not yet fully cemented and its sloppy so it would take energy to get to the top.

Here's the view from up here. Garbage of Oslob are also being thrown here but they are not smelly as the segregated garbage are being handled well. They use a machine to chop down these plastics and then I am not sure what happens next. Its just that there's already a mountain extension made of these garbage. I wonder what the town has planned for it.

The white area on the right side of the image shows the garbage mountain.

After a few minutes of viewing and inhaling the fresh air, we decided to go down. We found this chill tree and took a picture of the husband and Matti. I just realized there's a wood collected at the back.

Before going home, another shot for Matti and the husband. We will surely go back here and I will share more images by that time.

For now, see you in the next one!
