Singing In A Gentle Breeze
After rain nature sings, flowers cheer up small bushes or tall stems a journey through with me enjoy what I can see around me at the moment.
Down in southern hemisphere serenading the middle of Spring, let me introduce you to some of these wonderful things called plants and goggas (South African for creepy crawly insects).
First is the Arum lily often seen in the wild close to water, brilliant white against green with yellow stamen. A plant close to my heart since this came from Dad's garden close on thirty years ago.
Also referred to as an African lily or Alter lily, now come in a variety of colours.
Sugar cane burning spreads black dust across the garden (pretty messy), mingled between the cane ash is the starry wild jasmine blown off the bush hanging over the wall called 'bird central', plenty depth in the bush to hideout till humans retreat from sight.
Large wild iris planted up the bank, framed through the wall, then a close up look at this delightful flower that lasts but a day and closes once again.
Flowers that open during daylight hours only in blues below, reds are crown of thorns mingling together.
Even noticed a neat hole in the tree branch, wonder how that got there, perfect!
About Those Goggas
The millipedes are everywhere after the rains, big black ones, red ones swinging to and fro around the garden, into the home not the best when it comes to directions. Oh we call them shongololo the Zulu name "roll up" which is exactly what they do when touched.
Millipedes arrive in all colours after the rains with plenty vegetation on the ground from leaves dropped at end of winter spell.
This little guy I do not know, helped him off his back and he was good to go once again....
On wing or many legs insect life is abundant, keep looking you will see!

Hibiscus attracts the little sunbird, White-bellied sunbird teases you being small, loud and fast dancing from tree to tree from dawn to dusk, hibiscus being his favourite of all.
When day ends one can be rest assured, tomorrow nothing will look the same, similar but never the same with constant change in nature, keep walking exploring.
