Yesterday completed our 50 day countdown from the High Sabbath of the Passover. We observe Pentecost on Friday and the weekly Sabbath today.
For Pentecost (Shavuot), we rest, eat leavened bread from a sourdough we began after the week of unleavened bread, we remove the "blood" from the door post from Passover, we talk about the events in the Exodus and in the book of Acts concerning Pentecost and had a nice meal together.
We had family visit tonight and we got everything set for company.
It was very nice having everyone over around the campfire. The weather was beautiful. It's a US holiday on Monday (Memorial Day), so this is going to be an extra long weekend.
