An beautiful sunny day here in Byron Bay today while having breakfast this morning with my wife on our porch facing our lovely garden we were both commenting that we needed to brighten up our garden a bit more maybe with some nice Lilies or Orchids or maybe both so we had decided that after breakfast we would take a drive out to the Byron Bay Herb and Flower farm to see what we could gather to bring home and give our flower garden a bit of a new look add some more lively vibrant colors to brighten up our mornings having breakfast on our porch. We always try to go with the flow of seasons and now that it is summer over here in the land of down under we like to have our garden looking more tropical so it will make us feel like we are on tropical island holidaying at a resort well still not be able travel we can always dream...yeah...let's say were keeping the dream alive 😊
So here is what we looked at today these beautiful orchid plants drew our attention as soon as we walked in to this lovely flower nursery hanging on this tree was what they call the Moth Orchid also known as the White Butterfly Orchid and this was definitely coming home with us orchids are one of our favorite flowers. I love orchids for the reason they are a very elegant , graceful exotic flower representing love, luxury, beauty and strength. We couldn't have the one on display growing around the tree but we did buy another the same.
The pure white orchids were also beautiful representing good life and purity.
Some were already wrapped up and ready to go...
This Orchid is one i haven't seen before one of the guys there told me it's called the
Lady Slipper Orchid how beautiful is it , looks like a butterfly carrying Christmas bells.
The tropical water lilies is another flower we are very fond of you can place them around the garden and or anywhere around the house where it suits place in a big water ceramic vase and place a few little fishes in there all so tropical looking just want we want for our garden.
I do love the variety of colors these water Lilies come in various colors like purple , white and blue we see here normally water lilies are associated with rebirth and motherhood but in China, lilies are used in weddings because they are tied to 100 years of love how romantic 💖
We were actually looking for this beautiful Lily tree that we saw growing in one of the resorts we were staying in overseas , i think it was in Bali or Koh Samui but we have been unable to find this lily tree here in Byron Bay i must look at some of the bigger nurseries along the highway next time i drive to Sydney. This Lily which i am not sure of it's name is so pretty in color and looks , i think will be a mission to find , i would say it's more of a tropical lily.
