Coffee is much more than a simple cup with a little dark liquid inside and a good scent that intoxicates the olfactory senses. Coffee is often an excellent drink to share with friends or relatives, a moment of socialization and confidence and if you add a beautiful sea view to all this, then the moment is really super!
Family commitments, work and all other daily chores are often an obstacle to social relationships but it is important to find time to devote to friends, especially real ones. Every week my best friend and I, Antonio, as well as my best man at my wedding, always manage to find at least 30 minutes to enjoy a good coffee at the bar and tell us a little about our lives in the last few days.
Where I come from, coffee has also become an ingredient and not just a stand alone drink. The cold expression is the combination of coffee lying on the bottom of the glass and a milk ice cream, an ideal option especially in summer or on the hottest days. It is a product that is present only in the warmer months because it is unlikely that in winter we would like a drink so cold.
But in the summer it has become a very common choice, which also appeals to those who are not a particular coffee lover, also thanks to the sugar present in the ice cream which softens the bitter taste and certainly makes it much more pleasant.
The expression cold is a product born in the last ten years and has spread very quickly among the bars in the area, it is impossible not to be provided with it. Some businesses use a mixer that makes ice cream and coffee homogeneous but I prefer them to be separate because, as a coffee lover, I like to find some at the bottom of my glass.
Have you ever tasted this variant of coffee? I am not sure if it is present everywhere so it would be very interesting for me to know how it has evolved and if it is appreciated. Many conservatives love coffee in its purest form, I am not so traditional and I also like the combination with other products, especially if the combination of flavors is very pleasant.
The cold expression, at the customer's request, can be further decorated with chocolate flakes or melted chocolate or Nutella. An extreme solution that I do not personally appreciate because too many different flavors are mixed but which is in great demand. In this case it would be better to opt for an ice cream rather than a cold espresso, don't you think so too?
