Hi friends, as usual, I will share with you a delicious recipe made with coffee. It is a recipe for real lovers of this infusion because its flavors are intense and can be accompanied by a glass of cold milk, hot chocolate, or a good cup of coffee too, hehehe.
Have you ever added the cinnamon powder to your coffee? If you have, you will know that this combination is delicious, so I decided to transfer these flavors by giving them cookie shapes, and believe me, the result was incredible.
You need the following ingredients:
6 tablespoons of wheat flour
6 tablespoons of sugar
4 tablespoons of vegetable shortening
1 tablespoon instant coffee
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 egg yolk.
Then add the egg yolk to this mixture, and with your hands mix well until a dough is formed.
With your hands moistened in water, take small portions of the dough and form small spheres and place them on a greased and floured tray.
When you have covered the entire tray with these balls of dough, bake for 30 minutes at 180ºC (350ºF).
At the end of the baking time, remove the tray from the oven and place it on the rack. Remove the cookies from the tray when they are cool.
These cookies can be enjoyed immediately or stored in tightly covered tins. When stored this way, it can last 3 to 4 days. In my house, they did not last more than two hours, hahaha.
The texture of these cookies is very soft. As soon as they touch your mouth, it falls apart so, if you have trouble chewing, eating these cookies will not be a problem.
I have read that the combination of coffee with nuts is excellent, so the next time I prepare them, I will change the wheat flour for almond flour. I'm sure they will be amazing.
