Para rematar, Bowser aparece en el castillo de la princesa, en otro intento por secuestrarla, pero es rápidamente derrotado por Mario, sin embargo, debido a la condición de la princesa le es imposible secuestrarla, incluso le pide a Mario que haga algo, finalmente, ambos bandos deciden unirse temporalmente en pro de recuperar la voz de la princesa, por lo que todos se suben al Koopa Jet de Bowser para partir hacia reino habichuela. El Koopa Jet es atacado y aterriza de imprevisto, Bowser termina disparado de un cañón gigante, Mario y Luigi están por su cuenta, y el Goomba que ya mencioné, se embarcará en un viaje personal para encontrar al amo Bowser. Por eso el remake tienen “+ Bowser’s Minions” al final del nombre, pues añade una historia paralela con jugabilidad y desarrollo diferentes, pero por el momento volvamos a Mario y Luigi.

La exploración tiene una vista aérea similar a la de Zelda u otros juegos RPG, donde abundan objetos y enemigos característicos de juegos de Mario, para entrar a un combate, solo basta con tocar a un enemigo, también se puede saltar encima para iniciar con ventaja, pero algunos enemigos nos causarán daño si intentamos hacer esto. Los botones asignados a Mario y Luigi se mantienen durante los combates, Mario siempre saltará con A y Luigi con B, cada uno tendrá turnos individuales donde aún podremos controlar al otro, pero no servirá de mucho pues no es su turno aún. [Atomix](https://atomix.vg/review-mario-luigi-superstar-saga-bowsers-minions/) El ataque básico tanto de Mario como de Luigi es el salto, pero a diferencia de otros RPG, este involucra al jugador en el combate en todo momento, por ejemplo, al saltar sobre el enemigo con Mario, si presionamos A justo antes del impacto, Mario hará un rebote y podrá atacar saltando nuevamente, y si volvemos a presionar A, el daño será mayor en este segundo salto, lo mismo aplica con Luigi. Cuando hacemos ataques aparecerán diferentes palabras para informarnos de que tan bien realizamos el ataque, siendo “EXCELENTE” la mejor posible. Por otra parte, están los ataques TÁNDEM, que requieren el uso de puntos TÁNDEM para poder utilizarlos, son movimientos combinados de Mario y Luigi que causan daño devastador al enemigo, pueden atacar a un solo blanco o a multiples blancos, depende de las características del ataque, estos siempre requieren de presionar correctamente y en el momento justo una serie de botones para completarse. Luego de unos cuantos usos, se desbloquean las versiones mejoradas de dichos ataques TÁNDEM, pero siempre hay que vigilar el contador de puntos para no gastarlos demasiado rápido, aunque siempre se pueden recuperar con items durante el combate o golpeando un bloques con la marca de un corazón, los cuales están repartidos por todo el mundo. [Twitter](https://twitter.com/yourdailymario/status/1101092525631102978) Durante la exploración los movimientos de Mario y Luigi son bastante limitados, incluso podría decir que involucra un poco de Metroidvania a la fórmula, pues hay muchas zonas que no se pueden alcanzar debido a que no tenemos el movimiento requerido para ello, por ejemplo, lugares demasiado altos a los que un salto normal no llega, o plataformas demasiado separadas entre sí, rocas que interfieren con nuestro avance, etc. Progresivamente Mario y Luigi obtendrán habilidades para todas estas dificultades, que reemplazan a los saltos normales y son facilmente intercambiables con L y R, por ejemplo, un salto combinado que llega más alto, o un tornado que les permite planear durante unos breves momentos, también los martillos, que permiten que Luigi encoja a Mario para que pase por lugares estrechos, y Mario puede enterrar a Luigi en el suelo para que pase por debajo de puertas cerradas o desentierre objetos ocultos.

[Gfycat](https://gfycat.com/gifs/search/mario+%26+luigi+superstar+saga+bowser%27s+minions) Pasemos al Goomba que les mencioné antes, el cual vive su propia aventura, a la cual podemos acceder después de cierto punto en la historia de Mario y Luigi, y que de igual forma es pausable, es decir, que podemos jugar un par de niveles y volver con Mario y Luigi. Cambiamos de un RPG por turnos a algo más parecido a un juego de estrategia por ejércitos, donde nuestro Goomba es el capitán e iremos reclutando diferentes tipos de tropas para combatir contra diferentes ejércitos. Las tropas se dividen en tres tipos, aéreas, de infantería y de artillería, las aéreas tienen ventaja sobre la infantería, la infantería sobre la artillería, y la artillería sobre las tropas aéreas, por lo que se forma un tríangulo de poder donde todas las tropas son fuertes contra un típo y débiles contra el otro, similar a piedra, papel o tijeras. [Gfycat](https://gfycat.com/gifs/search/bowser%27s+minions+world+4) Conforme avancemos reclutaremos más tropas y las que peleen irán subiendo de nivel, la más importante siempre será nuestro capitán, pues si es derrotado perderemos automáticamente, al igual que si derrotamos al capitán enemigo, ganaremos automáticamente. Y en eso se resume este modo, que añade más contenido al juego que de por sí nos dará unas cuantas horas de diversión, como siempre lo recomiendo abiertamente si son fans de los RPG, sobre todo si prefieren juegos que le dan un giro de tuerca a la fórmula clásica.
