We love to buy a simple, solid color shirt from a nice brand because of the brand name or we like to go to big 5-star hotels to have a dish which can be prepared at home in less than 10% of the total bill amount we pay. So is paying such a huge price really worth it when we can get the same thing or dish at a way cheaper price?
When you are buying from a brand, you are not only paying the price of the product, you are also paying a price for the brand name, which could apparently be more than the price of the product you are purchasing.
Similarly, when you go to a good restaurant, you are not only paying for the food, you are paying for the amount of time and effort the person has invested in building the great hotel, wonderful cutlery, amazing ambience and experience.
You just can't always say that the price of the product is too less compared to what you are paying, that's wrong. We have to appreciate the art and knowledge and skill behind the product, the time and effort beign spent each day.
Today, I went to a local gallary and saw some beautiful pieces of are being sold at a very less price. I was actually surpised and I happened to ask the owner the reason behind such low prices. He told me it's because people aren't willing to pay so they have to keep the prices low.
I felt bad, people aren't appreciating local art and bargaining for such a meager amount. Just looks at the beautiful work done by this lady.
Look at the brain behind the art, it is so beautiful and worth appreciating.
I instantly took 2 bottles and 1 painting from the lady without any bargaining. We should always appreciate such local artists, you never know when they would become so big and out of reach.
