The Rebellion

Source

Before he was born he rebelled in the womb,
Pushing his legs first, trying to step into the world,
Little did he know that no one walks at birth!
If he was allowed to do what he did,
He he would have killed both, himself and his kin.

The rebellion grew stronger the older he grew,
He did all that he was told not to.
Burnt in the fire, almost killed by water,
Did he even care?
He had no thought to spare!

He grew to be a tyrant,
My will be done,
Right from the time he was an infant,
To the time he was completely undone!
Would he learn his lesson even then?

I doubt that he did,
All he cared was for himself,
Claimed he was always right instead,
A law he was to himself,
Until life met him at the crossroads!

Blinded by anger and pride,
He spewed venom in his stride,
His mouth filled with curses,
And words that hurt,
His every right he did assert!

He ranted and raved,
Like the world owed him,
Threw tantrums like a child,
His anger made his senses grow dim,
He never made an effort to see the other side!

Mean he grew by the day
Bitter and rebellious in every way,
Arrogant and haughty were his speech,
There was nothing no one could ever teach,
He had a sermon to preach!

Preach he did from the mountain tops,
Of how life was evil and unfair,
The only way to beat it he said,
Was to tow the path he had always tread,
Beat evil with evil until dead!

Wise he seemed in his own eyes,
He had an answer for everything,
Sold out he was to his own ways,
Poison he did the others around,
Taught how unfair the world was and how unsound!

Long before he met his end,
The evil he did with him went,
The bitterness showed in the crowd around,
Their carelessness and lack of concern,
In their emotions and intent!

They threw his body in the ditch,
They used his very words and pitch,
Life is unfair why fair to him be,
Who taught them all to do and perceive,
Rebellion does what rebellion breads!

This is neither new to you or me,
Rebellion seems like the freedom,
That discipline usurps from living free,
Responsibility with freedom comes,
Selfish is not the way to be!

Thanks for all the support and encouragement.
