Avatars that move, social media, social currency, could Hive evolve into a virtual world where we interact online?

Hive plus interactive 3D Avatars and an VR Headset Augmented Reality Immersive interface could equal an online interactive Hive world.

In the movie Ready Player One

the main character is a teenager living in an impoverished single parent home in a poor part of town. The world is a dystopian nightmare and the only escape from the depressing reality of his real life, is a virtual existence, where he hangs out with friends, wearing cool clothes, in cool places and experiences a much better life then his real one. Additionally, he is engaged in a game, where the top prize for the year would be life changing wealth. This prize would be one in a virtual world, but it would be spent in the real world, and change his reality to more closely match the imaginary virtual world.

I thought about this today when I ready @taskmasters introduction to his video blog entry about Facebook investing 50 million US Dollars in building a quote Metaverse. In @tasmasters blog he reviews the concerns over having Facebook in charge of this virtual reality world. It is a fantastic idea of changing Facebook from a place you look at on a computer screen to a place you visit wearing the augmented reality glasses so your truly immersed in the world your looking at. You literally go from a passive reader to a 3D character in the immersive virtual world you go to. You literally couldvisit a cartoon like representation of your mom’s house, where you would interact with your mom’s Avatar by talking to it, hugging it, kissing it on the cheek, and sitting down on a cartoon couch to look at her latest pictures. All the while talking and interacting with her. It’s like a live video game, only the setting is anywhere you want to go and anything you want to see.

Remember the last Hive Virtual Meet-up?

….where the presenters were all on stage in front of a presentation board, and talking about their project? While everyone who went to the meet up was sitting in the audience as an Avatar you picked?

Imagine that graphic interface evolved into something more 4D like where you move and interact physically using buttons to walk, sit. Hug, kiss, shake hands, sit down and a microphone and speaker to speak and listen. Then add the immersive effect of the Augmented Reality Headset, where you are in the picture, and it’s a video occurring live.

It would be massive.

Virtual Reality Social Media on Hive

Now add the social currency called Hive to interactions with strangers where they invite you to their experience booth to read their post or watch their video, or listen to their song or admire their artwork. Then thank them and leave an upvote tip.

The potential use cases are endless

I don’t know if Hive could do this, but if Libra blockchains can… why not Hive?

The End….for now.
