Kemal Sunal, who we all know and know, spent his youth and childhood years with his films, was born on November 11, 1944 in the Küçük Pazar district of Istanbul. Kemal Sunal is the eldest of 3 siblings and has 2 brothers, Cemal Sunal and Cengiz Sunal. Kemal Sunal's mother is Saime Sunal and his father is Mustafa Sunal. His mother is a housewife and his father is a Migros worker.
He started his education life at Mimar Sinan Primary School in Istanbul and then continued his education at Vefa High School. Kemal Sunal's family was a low-income family, but despite this, they did their best for Kemal Sunal's education. Kemal Sunal, who won the Marmara University Communication Faculty Radio, Television and Cinema Department after graduating from high school, had to interrupt his education due to the problems experienced throughout the country during the 12 September period. Kemal Sunal, who continued his education after many years, graduated from Marmara University, Faculty of Communication, Radio, Television and Cinema Department in 1995 with a master's thesis named "Kemal Sunal Smile in TV and Cinema" with great success.
He was very respectful to his teachers. He used to organize performances at school because he wanted to be a theater actor. His interest in theater caught the attention of Philosophy teacher Belkıs Bakır. But although his father Mustafa Sunal opposed his son's desire to become a theater actor, Belkıs Bakır convinced his father. Then, taking permission from Kemal Sunal's father, Belkıs took him to Bakır Kenter Theater and introduced him to Müşfik Kenter. Kemal Sunal's first theater play was Deli İbrahim, where he played the executioner's assistant. Then he acted in theater plays such as Ulvi Uraz Theatre, Ayfer Feray Theatre, Ostrich Theatre.
KEMAL SUNA'S FIRST CINEMA EXPERIENCES
Kemal Sunal started his acting career, which he started with theater studies, by going to the cinema in 1972. The Sweet Slice film directed by Ertem Eğilmez was Kemal Sunal's first cinematic experience. Kemal Sunal, who started to take small roles after this movie, progressed very quickly in film acting. Then he went to the army and completed his military service in Ankara Etimesgut Armored Units School in Ankara in 1981 in the KKK Harmony harmonica. After the movie Tatlı Slice, he became an unforgettable artist by winning the love of everyone from 7 to 70 with the characters he portrayed in the movies İnek Şaban, Süt Kardeşler, Trashculer King, Davaro and Sakar Şakir.
KEMAL SUNA'S PRIVATE LIFE
In most of his films, he played the role of naive, lucky but kind-hearted characters. He got married in 1974 and had two children named Ali Sunal and Ezo Sunal. In 1977, he received the best actor award at the Antalya Film Festival. Kemal Sunal, a master actor who has acted in 82 films throughout his life, died on July 3, 2000, due to a heart attack, just before takeoff, on the plane he boarded to Trabzon to start shooting the movie Balalaika.
