Acting Too Quickly... You Don't Want To Regret Your Actions

Imagine you gave your friend a hot slap only to find out that your friend did nothing wrong...

How would you feel? Ashamed? Or you'd just find something to cover up.

What if you found out you were the cause of what you thought your friend caused?

You would get to accept that you acted too quickly, you were wrong.

Acting too quickly has in no way helped situations especially when it involves the matters of the heart. We've seen in movies a lot and even in our neighborhood how this has caused home to break apart, friends become enemies, and trust is destroyed.

I heard of a story about a girl who poured hot water on her roommate body just because she heard that her roommate was flirting with her boyfriend. The roommate tried explaining everything but she didn't allow it but instead she let her angry took over and destroyed her roommate's skin. Later she found out that it was all a lie, the roommate forgave her but they couldn't live together anymore.

Imagine the scar she gave to her roommate just because she acted too quickly and very rashly.

Communication is a very vital skill to possess in such situations, allow them to explain even if you think you're right. People who act on one part of a story always miss the mark and end up hurting someone or themselves. If she had listened to her roommate's explanation, maybe things wouldn't have turned out that way but she didn't.

A guy who was trying to surprise his girlfriend with a marriage proposal in a kinda unusual way ended up losing the girl because she acted too quickly on everything he did and brought up all his past mistakes with a "Let's end this relationship" sentence. It may be a wonder why it had to end that way when the guy was only trying to be romantic but then.... Acting too quickly happened.

Trust, patience and peace of mind

These are needed in a situation where you're not sure of what really happened. Don't act on what others say, stay calm and hear from both or more sides of the story to be clear on what step to take.

Even about our health, taking medications on our own without going for test or asking for directions may be dangerous for us. You see people taking paracetamol for a pain they're feeling in their chest or even eyes... They just want to get well immediately and act too quickly.

And with our words, saying whatever comes to mind is also acting too quickly. Think, think, and think again before you say words. Don't be quick to condemn or attack someone, get facts and make sure to take the right decision by staying calm.

Act quickly... Make a mistake... You regret it

Nobody wants to be in such a position so avoid acting too quickly no matter what.
