It is the time for weekly community report. This week is different from past five weeks. We all like numbers, rather growing numbers but this week witnessed something different. #proofofbrain community is growing. Its not growing leaps and bounds but its growing organically. More users are coming aboard in the hopes of earning money for liking and contributing the content.
At-least the numbers of the last six weeks tell us the story that #pob is growing organically.
The community growth report based on the parameters i have already identified reveals that in absolute numbers the community is obviously growing but the % growth has now started stabilizing.
My previous five reports on the community growth are available for reference here
- Report on 21st April is available here
- Report on 28th April is available here
- Report on 5th May is available here
- Report on 12th May is available here
- Report on 19th May is available here
Above graph is the comparison of performances in these five weeks.
Highlights of the week
- 622 (Last week 536) subscribers to the community - Growth of 16.04%. This is significant as all other parameters have started indicating the weakness in the uptrend.
- 561 (Last week 560) active users who may not be subscribers but are actively posting through the different platforms using tag of proofofbrain .
- There are about 3009 (Last week 2861) investors who are holding at-least one or more token of #pob - Growth of 5.17%.
Engagement is the Key
The biggest and the most important number is the number of interactions. There are close to 4973 ( Last week 5316) interactions in this community. This is for the first time the growth has declined.
In the last week there was an announcement from @amr008, who runs an engagement project.
In this announcement he reduced the weights of his votes on comments and increased the numbers of beneficiaries.
This probably impacted those interactions, which were made probably to gain a pie from his vote. Yet another reason which I missed out and @charcoalbuffet pointed out was the strict conditions imposed in the WOTW challenge. @calumam has issued strict guidelines on writing comments while you are participating in the challenge.
Whether these are the only reasons or whether the engagement has stabilized, is something the numbers in next few weeks will tell us.
Manual curation done by the whale accounts like @vempromundo.pob, @calumam and @leprechaun which is driving the per user engagement to a very high levels. Currently the average per user interaction is 8.87, which is down from previous week's 9.47.
This is a cumulative impact of the growth in the number of subscribers and reduced interactions.
